https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currencies-circle/goldman-backed-startup-circle-buys-major-crypto-exchange-poloniex-idUSKCN1GA1N4

GS buys Circle which buys Poloniex.

Next step is they turn Poloniex in a online bank.

snip

Mark my words, before too long banks will be offering to hold your bitcoin for you (securely of course) and transferring between fiat to btc, and back, with little to no fee as incentive.
snip
meanwhile Rabobank wants our bitcoins
http://www.rabobit.nl/

Store your cryptocurrencies in a wallet hosted by a trusted party and within the secure online banking environment.

edit to add https://www.coindesk.com/digital-currency-group-invests-in-crypto-friendly-silvergate-bank/ Barry bought him some bank

Rofl maybe they should learn about ssl certs first before they try to offer a bitcoin wallet.

Fail. Dutch Rabobank rejects own crypto wallet
“Rabobit is a pilot and no part of our services. The position of our Ethical Commission with regards to cryptocurrency trading remains valid”.

-Everybody is corrupt and nobody knows anything. That lot probably just want to fill a database with email addresses of the vulnerable.

They have been researching a lot about blockchain, at least that's what they said when they were invited by the Dutch parliament to talk about crypto in January. Most of the banks and politicians who were there were only focused on the money laundering issues. Instead of the actual benefits and technological advancements that crypto has to offer. There was one speaker that urged the Dutch politicians to create a crypto friendly climate in The Netherlands, but of course the banks and politicians did not really listen.

Yesterday Segwit at 20%

Today Segwit at 30%  Cool

 Shocked
Very impressive. How much will it increase?
It would be interesting to know what percentage of the Segwit adoption corresponds to the release of Bitcoin Core 0.16, and what percentage corresponds to Coinbase.

Goldman sachs just put money into poloneix from what the mass media is saying.
So yeah the ceo and his underlings are all billionaires so they are indirectly investing into bitcoin
but not to close now. Wink
They are using circle who they invested in to do this deal on their behalf.
https://www.coindesk.com/goldman-sachs-latest-bank-label-crypto-business-risk

They did denounce bitcoin a while ago before the pump up to ath then all the sudden are saying it is alright now. Undecided
https://www.coindesk.com/goldman-sachs-exec-central-bank-cryptos-incredibly-useful

Them doing this would be inline with what their current agenda in complete domination of the entire economic landscape.
Wouldn't it?

They get themselves castrated so they can no longer feel the pain that is Bitcoin?  Sad.

I'll say it again. I would trust some of my btc to a traditional bank, as long as

- The deposit is backed by (audited) crypto or undilutable bank stock (ordinary bonds would be OK too)

- I get my interest (in btc). A reasonable 10% or something like that, depending on market conditions.

These banks will find out that luring old school hodlers to part temporarily with their precioussss takes more than a flashy brochure.

Regardless of wheat one thinks about Barry, this has to be a net positive. It is an on ramp controlled by an entity that is almost certain not to close to crypto faithful.

Cleaned this up some for easier digestion.
Have to see how much its going to take to fill up this pool here. Its really going to be a wild ride this year.
Talk among the daytarders is that we need to see a lower low but I am not convinced. There is quite a bit of selling pressure but we are soaking it up so far. I really like cookies to btw..

First official day of retirement.

Congrats Baw'b. Not retired yet. That won't kick in until end of 2q18. But I am on vacation today. At a locale much closer to the equator than is my home. Here's a toast to your retirement:

Grrr. You know what the downside of the beach is? iPad instead of real machine. And imgur refuses to work  on iOS except through their stupid app. Which seems to prevent linking to an actual photo. Like, for embedding into a post.

C'est la guerre.

Whatever, there's a link up there.

Maybe I've just had too many Heinekens...

Were going down again....

Wtf is going on.... Huh

silent crypto war...guess who are main playerz Wink

Yea But what is the reason the presure is quit high to keep the price down
Just relax bro it was not maintain in the lower price, so be patience waiting. Just hold the amount you have as you can, because I'm pretty sure that their value are growing up at the right time.

You need to trust and don't be pressured if the price are keep going down, because it is not permanent right?
