OMG, I just woke up and surprised to see that the topic of guns is still running smooth in here. We might have to change the title to "Guns Observer USA" if more of this continues. Let's just get back to the topic guys, to the bitcoin.

Personally, I'm in the camp of believing the shootings and most other "terror acts" are manufactured by the state.  Sure, all the medication people take now days is likely a large contributor if it's not entirely manufactured but I'm still leaning towards a state manufactured agenda. Seriously, are shootings just getting popular with the youth like eating Tide balls? Common, I truly don't believe so many people are slipping on the same banana.

Absolutely agree.  Issue is with criminal elements of our government, not guns.  Heck we civilians need guns to safeguard ourselves from the criminals in our government until they are all outed!

Just got a phone call from a contact in the mining industry.  He has built a water pipeline in a third world country and has been paid several million USD equivalent in local currency. Now he wants to get his money out but is having problems due to forex controls.

He called me to see if I could find someway to sell him Bitcoin in exchange for the local currency.  I might need to contact one of the OTC desks to see if they take third world shit fiat.

Why would someone build anything without making sure, in first place, he can get the money out? Or is it that something changed in that country afterwards?

I am sure he will find someone to sell him the BTC.... for an astronomical premium most probably.

Would love to hear more about how it all develops.

The fastest way for a whale to do this would be to short BTC. WThis would make the ratio go back more in favor of the shorts. It takes more BTC to just dump on the open market rather than using leverage for maximum effect. Shoot, you don't even need BTC to open a leveraged short position, a whole bunch of fiat would do.

They have gotten the money out in the past but they had to charter an airplane to do it.  He seems to think Bitcoin would be safer and more convenient.  I have asked some questions and will see what happens.   I suspect the answer will be no one wants the shitty local currency.

Be careful before going into such a deal. It could land you an unlicensed money transmitter charge. Also, you would then be stuck with the currency in question to try and offload to someone else.
