Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

O.k. Factually, the application is there, but seems like something like that is much further down the road, no? We would have to cross the barrier of bitcoin only first before going down that seemingly weird road of a basket of cryptos. And how would the system choose, exactly which cryptos to include in the basket? I'm sure the application says, but I cannot see any reliable methodology that has been established, yet in part because the history of alt cryptos is much shorter, smaller liquidity and a lot more volatile than bitcoin. Even bitcoin has it's limitations in terms of a short history and questions/concerns about volatility and liquidity.

After publishing the article, Meduza added an update to clarify that the former Qiwi programmer could not take advantage of the 500,000 mined bitcoins, as they were “lost” at some point. I'll believe that when they provide the address.

Russian CEO of QIWI company, which make payment terminals around Russia, said that their ex-worker mined 500,000 of BTC in 2011.
So some of these managed to get 20-50% of daily blocks for months when there were hundreds or thousands of GPUs? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Fair enough. May be a PR trick, consider that they are planning to include crypto in their payment system soon. Russian CEO of QIWI company, which make payment terminals around Russia, said that their ex-worker mined 500,000 of BTC in 2011.
So a GPU vs some of these? Riiiiight. No

Good article. That was an explanation for the recent rally that I hadn't heard before. Really, I thought that was pretty common knowledge? I remember the merits of gold vs fiat vs bitcoin being discussed quite a bit in the first years after I joined, with comparisons like this going about: Also sites like forbes with their popups and random page scrolling are fucking awful to use, wasted a few minutes trying to find where I was interrupted at one point. Just another reason nobody likes them anymore.

Damn. I forgot about the Cabinet Effect tmAlso odd is that 657,000 bitcoins altogether would've been mined in that '3 months in 2011' So the Cabinet botnet 'was' the large majority of the hashrate.

It makes a glimmer of sense if it was 2009, but even then something like that is going to have a shit CPU. By 2011 GPUs were already in full swing and they're gawd knows how many times faster. But perhaps in Russia they have Gamer Edition terminals to pass the time.

My thoughts for the moment (alts not joining this rally so I expect a dud): We have about 12-14 days now to set the "2nd top" which should roughly come out at $8,4xx again. Then, I make my move
