Here’s the thing. In some ways the objective truth doesn’t matter.

The appearance to the world is that the American President is a weak fool.  That damages American interests and it damages Western interests by extension. 

The "appearance" is created and managed by the media, at least 90% of it. President himself through his actions and polices controls maybe 10%.

The media can demonize anyone, or make someone a hero, easily.

So take a guess who is responsible for "damaging American interests and Western interests by extension" here.

I believe that Russia could have "meddled in the election". But here's the thing : specifics and facts matter.

"Meddling" as in hacking/rigging voting machines would matter. Actually it would matter a lot, as it would be a serious breach of U.S. national security and sovereignty. It would be the thing to get really upset over.

"Meddling" as in creating a bunch of bogus Facebook accounts and marketing propaganda against the Dems does not matter. As not only does that shit happen around the world every single year (political smear campaigns are the norm), and apparently anyone with enough $$$ and clout can do that, but it would specifically be a Facebook problem. One that they don't seem very keen on making sure doesn't happen again. FACEBOOK problem.

So please, quit bandying around "meddling in the election" as some kind of generic catch all smoking gun. It isn't.

Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, YouTube, etc are global platforms, people all over the world use it to discuss freaking everything, including U.S. elections. Better get used to it, because it's not going away, ever. U.S. voters are going to be exposed to opinions of foreigners.

Here in Brexit Britain they've now set up mobile cinemas in car parks around in the country in anticipation of the dismantling of the NHS.

Google and Amazon etc compete by giving employees not only salaries, but "free" cafeteria food, "free" dental etc.

Rich western countries compete that way too. It's up to each country what kind of "free" benefits like healthcare they should provide.

You don't like "salary+benefits" package, you move to a better country.
