It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Wow a 15000BTC sale brings the price down for only several hundreds? Bullish!  Cool
That is exactly the amount sold from 6600 to 6200-ish in Bitfinex. The price looks stable for now, only 5% loss is no big drama. It looks more like a bear trap to me. Of course, I agree that this year so far was a bears shitshow. All these people clearly have little faith and patience (or at least they had before but lost it now). But sooner or later the selling bears will dissapear.  Let's hope this was the last bear selling at 6K range.  I clearly remember last year how many people sold thousands of bitcoins when the price was below 3K. Now it is a rare thing to see a sell above 1K. In the next years probably we will be talking of hundreds-bitcoin-whales, then tens-bitcoin-whales  Wink

In gloomy days like these, I try to imagine where the price will be in 3, 5, 10 years? There is no need to wreck my nerves by these short dips. If I just hold, I will become a millionaire way before my retirement. So, instead of selling, I prefer to buy moar bitcoins with my pathetic salary. Who knows, may be we will see new ATH sooner than expected.  I don't want to be on the wrong side when this happens.  Grin Yes, I have faith that I will see it and enjoy it with my full stash intact by these shakeouts!!!

I don’t really want to have to wait 10 years but I’m more than happy to sit on my coins & sell nothing for 5 years. I would be happy to see $50,000 per coin within 5 years & at that stage I’ll be happy to sell SOME.

We all know the destination of Bitcoin.

Don't be so pessimistic.

It was hilarious watching Bitmex casino bounce off $5800 while Stamp was at $6055.  There is some serious support down there.

Low on bitmex was 6005.

And i hate bitmex - because they earn 500 mil and still are offline at every big move lol...

When shit worked again we were already like at 6170 or so -_-

Arthur Hayes does not fear bullets in his head. Gotta give him some praise for that at least. And a bullet.

Woke up & saw the price, down we go once again. This has been a really shit year for bitcoin. Hopefully 2019 is much better, obviously we continue to HODL though.

 Smiley

MAYBE it was just a last lonely bear or so ?? that just woked up Roll Eyes                 (waking up late during the week Grin )

What if the 310 btc winner guy cashed out and caused an avalanche of shaky weak hands ? Could 310 BTC even do much damage? I imagine the 310 btc candlestick would fill back up before you even noticed anything...

A 310 bitcoin sale is like throwing a hotdog down a hallway. It wouldn’t touch the sides.

You're suggesting that the fall in the US stock market is in correlating with the fall on cryptocoin? But in my logic this sell-off should have boosted cryptocoins and gold prices because the money which left the stocks should have gone somewhere. Did everything become cash? Or did the investors who withdrew money from the stocks are waiting to enter the same market?

In any case, I don't think the stock market and the blockchain's prices are correlating.

Potentially at a time where we go sideways for long periods it’s possible to suppress the price. They’d all get badly, badly burnt if we have another bull run like last year at some point though.

They wouldn’t expect that & would be unable to control it. Hmmmmm under water Wall Street shorts, sounds satisfying.

if

If is the middle word in life. This is what the world of silver stackers must feel like. You blow smoke up my ass, I blow it up yours.

Meanwhile, shiny things.
