tinfoil hat: big money figured out that they cannot outlaw bitcoin. their approach to hurt it was to elevate it into unforeseen euphoric stages just to crash it unprecedentedly afterwards in order to completely destroy any trust in it. guys like w.buffet knew. they couldn't even resist to make public statements about the coming crash.

but they will be wrong. they have no idea what a seasoned bitcoiner can survive. they will never crush us. bitcoin is the combined chuck norris/mcgyver/houdini of finance. we have waited 4 years from the previous to the last ATH. we can sit out storms like that.

I’m not trading on any advice, just interested. You seem to be close to ‘on point’ most times.

I don’t really have price targets (although I do extrapolate from historical numbers). I just get a sense of “up”, down” or “same”.  

January should be “down” except Bakkt is in the middle.  So stable or mildly up to Bakkt and then sharply down.

Sharply down, fucking hell 
I didn’t sell at the ATH, haven’t sold now so I think I have no option but to go down with this ship & buy all the way down.

I can’t remember the fall from the Gox ATH very well as that’s when I got into bitcoin, buying as it went down starting at around $600 all the way down (that was good for me where as this is bad).

I’m sure it didn’t fall as easily as it has this time though. There’s literally no support & no fight back, it’s just a land slide. Where does it stop?

Please all imagine those giant green candles that are ready to pop up when "institutionals" will get officially on board. Everything happens for a reason and I think this got well planned all along. The parabolic rise in 2017 was unreal as this 2018 drop.
Expect fireworks when Etfs and bakkt shit will take off.
That's how I see it.
Bitcoin is an asset for the institutionals. They can't control the instrument (they don't even get it) but sure as hell they can control the price.

My feeling is pretty much the same. After the huge drop at the end of 2017 I was sure the price would have reset in order to be feasible for many other players to get into the game, new players more organized and aknowledged.

But we shouldn't be too bearish, a price under 1.5k it's unrealistic to me. Institutions want a cheap price to get into the ship with force but they don't want a price that would be affordable for the regular person that is feed by bread and tv. Those people have been already squeezed and scared throughout year (I did some mistakes as well)... now they claim BTC it's pretty much a bubble!

But this is just cycle, they are planning another blast off.

Yeah this is pretty shocking, I thought after seeing 2014/15 that nothing could get that bad. but, this drop is the worst I can remember purely because of the lack of buying volume. not 1 damn decent bounce yet. I don't know what to make of it, but its not good.
