I have always thought the same, that hard money comes from decentralization and the deflationary economy. “The Federal Reserve’s balance sheet is climbing to new highs this week, now surpassing $6.5 trillion… [it] expanded by another $205.2 billion in the past week, to $6.57 trillion. It has ballooned by $2.4 trillion, or 58%, since the end of February,” they noted. “While FED is printing money, Bitcoin has different plans with an upcoming halving in just three weeks. This will cut the yearly production in half, from 12.5BTC to 6.25BTC per block. This quantitative hardening may attract new investors to bitcoin, as ‘the money printer’ keeps running at full speed,” Source: https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/04/25/the-perfect-storm-is-brewing-for-bitcoin-because-of-these-two-trends/There is no distancing applied to the USD, it grows quicker than the virus, cause of the virus Ppl will soon get immune against USD

Just went to the bulk food store and bought about $1k worth of food (mainly meat) and vitamins.
They were out of freezers otherwise I would have bought one (and more meat).
Things like this are why I did bitcoin. Not to buy a lambo.
One downside to my current status that I have noted is the lack of freezer space. A good deep freezer doesn't use much power and should be able to run on the solar/battery arrays. I'll keep that in mind and get one later when things are more normal, live and learn. Why are you people hoarding food? At lest where I live there is no shortage of anything except hand sanitizer and masks, and that is getting back in stock slowly as well. I go shopping every third day, because that's when its time to buy more milk, I usually shop right before closing to avoid crowds, but I have done some daytime shopping too and it wasn't so bad, people were distancing.

^ As one of the medical frontliner we always advise people to stay at home even we are staying at work for them. Take note: the Photo is not mine. "source" I hope WO members would do the same. If they stay home for them, then nobody will be ill and therefore they will have no work staying at the hospital because of no patients. Public health services. They get paid no matter what.

Exponential growth. The largest number of infected will happen towards the end of the process. We don't know how bad things are going to get. Not just because of the virus but because of what the state will use it as an excuse to do. There is just no good reason not to have a stockpile, just in case. My country happens to be a food producing country and so far we have not done anything draconian so I'm not worried. But for most of the world? Yeah, stock up. On toilet paper too. It's not the joke people like to pretend it is.

Certainly they would make me look like a right tit # (or the left)Public health services. They get paid no matter what.
NHS workers don't earn that well anyway, I don't think its about the money. If they have no patients they will be happy less people are dying in their arms (or their colleagues)

Amazing that people are actually going to vote for this tool in November. What's the alternative? Creepy demented uncle Biden or Hillary literally kills people Clinton. Either of those got your vote?

Maybe I have been listening to a certain romanian too much but the general attitude of public health workers seems to me like that of the soviet era. If you get paid either way then customers become a nuisance.

They don't just get paid whatever. Duh. They have to justify budgets based on demand for services.
These is no magic money pot for them.
