dont mean to interrupt the party but what's going on with vircurex? didnt followed the whole story but is it like shutting down somehow?

Apparently.
I raised this yesterday and the consensus was 'meh'....it seems we are so used to bad news that it no longer registers as worthy for discussion.

You have to steal at least 700K coins to get a mention here these days.

lmao. bulls.  Cool

I've seen it mentioned, but perhaps it is the reason as to why some exchanges ie Kraken have started to supply proof of reserves, trying to calm the world down.

This bear market could end any second, like in July last year. I don't think we'll dip that low. We are lucky if we'll dip below 500 at all, just watch the historic trendlines.
But if we do, I have fiat waiting on the sidelines, just in case  Wink

That was pre-bubble time. Guess we are in a deflating period,i think a dip in 200-300 range is not a bear's dream..however that would take some long period of continuing decline.

LOL i know what you mean.

I wanted to get my hands on some before I understood a thing about them. but the bank wire fee to Mt Gox back then was $20. totally not worth it just to buy $20 of bitcoin @ $2 each.... lol

then came the $30 bubble and I understood what I had to do, but I didnt get round to it until it was taking a hike towards 266. Im glad I waited and got on at $100.

Actually it depends on the perspective. It was post-bubble time after the April 2013 bubble. I'd put 200-300 definitely in the bear's dream realm. Except there is
a btc-e style flash crash to that regions, one can never know.

The last two years, BitStamp have never fallen below 3 months low. I don't think that will happen in the next two years either. 2014 will be a great year for Bitcoin.

BitStamp
Whole bid volume
12,403,689.28 USD
124,138.60 BTC

Whole ask volume
18,302,807.58 USD
20,250.35 BTC

Ratio
1 : 1.48
1 : 0.16 as BTC

For someone who claims to have been following BTC for so long, you should know we don't go up with a bid/sum ratio like this.
