Many of us are losing a lot of money due to Bitcoin falling so low.

You can't lose money that has already been spent, can you?

Money has time value, a dollar today is worth more than 10 dollars a month after.
But bitcoin value increases with time, so we are not losing value of our investment in bitcoin

Government passes a hugely inflationary spending bill and we're heading down? Logic.

people want high fed rates for their bonds.

If you have $$$ and get a five year bond at 3.71% they are betting rates go up and they will stagger up.

Ie buy a five year today at 3.71
buy a 5 year in six weeks at 4.20
buy a 5 year in 12 weeks at 4.71
buy a 5 year in 18 weeks at 5.21

then hope for pivot.

you are loaded up for next 5 years with rates between 3.71 and 5.21

and the USD is the best dollar token there is.

This does not attract a guy without $$$

but if you have $$$ it looks like a good play.

Or...you have rates at 10% in 5 years and you did not do as good as you expected.
I think shorter duration, like 2 years is a better bet once we get to 5% short term rates, but I already allocated enough for something like that.
Right now, I am positioning to buy a few things/assets in the next 3-6 mo, including bitcoin.
Stonks are cratering, what a market: more than 1000 points up and down in two days.

How much for the new account?

Are you really that flat headed?
Are you really asking me how much I paid for the copper membership?
Or are you implying that it’s a “bad” thing to do?
Either way, I can’t even.

I dunno how much i would pay for an account named :anti strength tho... poor choice buddy very poor choice

You see, that’s were we drift apart.
You rely on the internet to comprehend the etymology of my name, whereas in reality it means “the one who has the strength/stamina to resist”.
You can’t become Greek when your day-in-day-out language is Slavic, you need to learn the Greek language, fluently, yo.

ATLEAST You got 1 Thing right. Jesus did love the Evil ones but not for the reason you think.

Did you know that Jesus had the nickname “Socrates of Nazareth”?
They were both about loving and ethically educating morons like you [well, morons with the hope of change], as the only way to move forward as a species.

Some Retards think that Being GIFTED is being better than everyone else..

It’s delusional to even think that.
Being gifted should mean helping others without any superiority complex.

Low

I guess you’re not referring to me then. Kiss

You must not understand DCA.

DCA in respect to BTC does not give any shits about short term prices - except perhaps retaining a presumption that in the long term 4-10 years or more (or whatever is your holding timeline) bitcoin is likely to have prices that are higher than they are today, so in that sense that it is likely to be a good investment and profitable in the long term.

Buying on the dip is another dynamic that can be used to supplement DCA.. but it is not DCA...
No no JJG you got me wrong, I understand DCA and you explained this on WO like how many times? 465? Starting in 2014

So by now I think we on WO should know DCA like palm of our hand Tongue

Even I personally got some 1-1 JJG DCA Lectures

Hahahaha

I stand by my previous assertion(s), even though you did post some decent evidence regarding how I have redundantly posted about DCA and related matters.... .. but my arguably repetitive posting on the topic does not indicate that anything that I have previously said or done or that I am currently saying or doing has sunk into your noggen.. (no homo)

Note:  I deny that I am even proclaiming to know anything worth knowing.

Hello Wall Observers, glad to be here. Cool

Great poster that Cryptotourist guy, shame he had to go.
I’ll try my best to walk in his shoes.

Oh gawd...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I did not say that, and I am not saying that.  The China mining ban is 2021 is an interesting point though in regards to a lot of bitcoin-related matters - but such "ban" did seems to temporarily affect the hashrate in a negative way with a near halvening of the hashrate that largely sprung back within about 4-6 months (and largely sprung back way more quickly than a lot of folks had expected).. .it also seemed to contribute towards already existing miners to have become extremely profitable and inspired a lot of new mining entrance - and perhaps overly leveraging.. and we see some of the fall out from that overleveraging and perhaps even overbuilding today.. ...and it seemed to inspire greater geographical diversity..  .. so yeah of course, BTC price was not unaffected by some of those matters.. but it would likely lead many folks to wrongedly assessments to attempt to hitch whatever various relationships of BTC price to hashrate during that period as if BTC prices were following hashrate.. but hey, believe whatevers you would like.. those are your choices.

Do you always use this many words to claim the obvious?
Hashrate affects the price - not the other way round - period.

There's no formula.

I use however many words, if any, within my plenary discretion... you plenary retard.

Aren't you Mr. Wonderful and such a genius too?
If you thought Cryptotourist was such a great guy, just wait till we get acquainted.

please don't.. I am shaking in my boots.

Who cares whether you were right or not about the "scamdemic?"  For argument sake, let's assume that you were right about the "scamedemic from day one", as you put it.   You are trying to argue that if you happen to be right about one topic, then all of a sudden you are right (or an expert) on all topics.  That makes a lot of sense.
First things first, it’s scamdemic without the brackets.
I by no means claim to be expert on anything, but I always - and constantly - do my own research, instead of believing useful idiots such as yourself.

I am very proud of uie-pooie.  I'm considering sending a note to your grandma to have her deliver you more cookies and milk.

As a reward.. in case you did not understand.

Is your dog friendly?  Or mean like you?
My dog is one of the friendliest dogs alive, apparently like Cryptotourist’s dog too.
BTW, I don’t think he was mean, he just had zero tolerance for bullshit, especially coming from wordy AI’s. Wink

May Cryptotourist live on.  If ONLY there were a way?

Merry Christmas to everyone who has held steadfast to their Bitcoins. We keep hodling  Wink

Bitcoin prices are likely to rise appropriately this Christmas Day.  Because that's the holding opportunity $16783 bitcoin price.  Since 2022, Bitcoin price has fallen by -65.44% as of today, December 22nd.  This market will fully recover at one time.  Because the Bitcoin market will never stop its price will increase but on this Christmas Day the price of Bitcoin will exceed 20k dollars.  But we can never miss this opportunity, now we just have to hold.  It is certain that if you hold, the market will recover.  But opportunities to invest do not always come the only opportunity is to invest for long term.

There may well be some member here to take the other side of that bet.

Ex-crypto mogul Sam Bankman-Fried out on $250m bail after extradition from Bahamas
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/dec/22/sam-bankman-fried-new-york-court-charges-ftx

Everyone's ok with this yeah?

With the amount of money people will have lost you would have thought there would be multiple hit jobs out on this cocksucker. He probably gets better protection than JFK had.

The fact his imbecilic parents bailed him out tells you enough. Another criminal enterprise. No morals, disgusting behaviour.

How do "professors" at a university have this much collateral? Or was this all syphoned off via FTX?

The criminals are truly in charge in the good old USA.

And they think they can tell others what to do. Biggest joke ever.

However since shahzadafzal didn't answer my proposal for a bet yet, I was hesitant to poke the next guy with a bet, as I'm by no means a betting person and I didn't want to come off as one...

That was a bet? I mean that was just a sarcastic smiley.. look..

Regardless of who you support, I think we can all agree (except for the odd alpaca) that BTC should have made a new ATH by the latter. Smiley
First Quarter of 2023
wanna bet some BTC ?  Smiley

I mean I could take it like you meant... it will be ATH even before first quarter of 2023.

Btw since BitcoinBunny mentioned alpaca aka llama, I was poking this singing llama with that comment Cheesy

No the smiley was meant as a nice smiley...  like a nice invitation  Cheesy

For clarification: I'm a hardcore hodler and I would love to see an ATH soon. It would give me so much joy that I would happily part with some of my BTC when I lose this bet.

As I understand it you mean before end of 1st quarter 2023 (31st March 2023) we will see another ATH on Bitstamp? (last ATH was exactly at 69,000 USD)

I would say no, and bet against it.  However, I love my BTC and I'm no gambler so I wouldn't bet much. Just some "change" (maybe up to 0.1 BTC or so) in a 1 : 1 bet.

I'm also very happy without betting, so please feel free to join or not.
