Isn't it ironic that the libertarian bitcoiners, champions of laissez-faire capitalism, are betting all their life savings on the hope that the Satoshi Bitcoin will be one day the only cryptocurrency in the market, so that they can charge monopoly prices for it? I'm not betting it will be the only cruptocurrency, just the most liquid one. Charging monopoly prices would prevent that from being the case. Competition is good.

WTF is this at stamp.
The rumors might be true, bitstamp is closing its business due to some illegal activity of its users. LOL what rumours exactly? I have some friends in USA, who actually introduced me to this Bitcoin pest. They all say Bitstamp will go down till the end of this week.It has something to do with paedophile activity , they seems to be trading with bitcoins through bitstamp now. They are going to sell everything. but i am not sure where they got those information. I dont really care since i only have 0.2 btc=))

Oh yes, somebody mentioned a while ago, that there might be a new super-whale in town. An entity who would like to buy at least 1% of the BTC and is now testing the price sensitivities of the platforms etc. That kind of zig-zag from obviously the same account could be explained by such testing.

That's only ironic if you believe in Libertarianism yourself. They accumulate the currency because they believe it in and they think that it will take away some of the state power against the people https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580221.0;topicseen

Forgive my ignorance, but what does this "testing" accomplish for him/her/them? I can see trying to cause panic selling by the masses could bring the price down a bit. But the price is pretty "good" right now compared to what it was. Couldn't they just buy systematically over all the exchanges without causing a panic run? Or even buy some off the exchanges?
