I've been waiting for my 1000 € for 33 days now. It still says "up to 3 weeks" on their site (and it said 2 weeks around the time I made the withdraw).

I guess they're not out of money or anything, but these kinds of limits from their bank are ridiculous. Maybe they should try a proper bank, or is their business too shady to be accepted elsewhere?  Huh

WITHDRAWAL: THE GATHERING

Bring your own pitchforks

Heh, I just found it funny that in a thread about a website that's called MAGIC THE GATHERING ONLINE EXCHANGE someone would title "[Gathering]".

So it's like

"BITCOIN WITHDRAWALS: THE GATHERING"

Delay {1BTC}{UU}
Instant
Put a bank-limit-counter on target customer with withdrawal.
Tap all creatures with a bank-limit-counter on them.
"...we apologize for any convenience caused..."

Karpeles, Reverse Banker of Gox Mountain {2BTC}{UUU}
Creature - Human Hobbyist Wannabe Banker
{UU}: Counter target withdrawal. Put a support token into play.
All support tokens have "this creature can block any amount of attacking customers."
"...all requests will be processed according to your place in the queue..."

Have now been waiting 5 days for an international wire. I had 3 other wires arrive after the first business day, but this one is taking forever...

I've been waiting 5 weeks for my SEPA withdrawal, I see I'm not alone.

If I don't get the money in a week I'm going to let debt collectors handle it. It's better I get half the money with debt collectors taking half as fees than nothing at all.

That's worrying. The one I requested in 20 May arrived 22 May. The one I requested 30 May is still only "confirmed", not "processed".

MtGox will die if it cannot be trusted to return customers' money in a timely fashion.

My withdrawal (Int. Wire) is "confirmed" for almost two weeks now. My emails are not answered, instead they always reply the same bullshit ("we are sorry for any inconvenience bla bla bla), without responding to anything I have written before.
I am in the process of moving my money out of MtGox, and unnecessary to say that they will never see me again.
Somehow I blame this strange Karpelles character who I just cannot associate with competence and business skills at all.

Got a bad feeling about this. Happy to see Bitstamp gaining volume.

A couple of days ago, I requested a cancellation of my withdrawals at Mt.Gox, and within 2 hours the withdrawal was cancelled and money returned. Bought Bitcoins again, and transferred them to Bitstamp for withdrawal on the fast lane... .. .

I have no idea what is going on there at Mt. Gox, but I have read so many people on this forum complaining about getting money out of Mt.Gox, so I guess Bitstamp will get more and more happy clients... .. .

If (after 2 weeks) you are tired of waiting for your withdrawal, my suggestion is to request a cancellation, instead of trying to get into an discussion about it. A cancellation is much quicker.

This is not normal and nobody should accept it!!!

And while we are at it, I believe a 1000 limit per day for Verified accounts is also too low. I know they have a trusted level. But for Verified, 1000 is too low. What's the use of being able to send out 1000 euro? If total bank costs/fees (both sides) are somewhere between 20-50 euro, that is between 2% and 5%. That's just silly. In my opinion they could leave the monthly limit at 10.000 euro, but make at least the day limit more than 1000 euro. The day limit automatically sets the fee for a withdrawal on any specific day to an uneconomical level....................ok.....breath again.............   Wink

Dunno if you requested raising your limits?
After I got verified I got an email oabout how I could raise my limits.
Now I'm able to send 10k a day and 50k a month.

Excuse me, I checked my Verification email and you are right. It's indeed possible to increase the limit 10x the daily limit and 5x monthly limit, to indeed 10K day and 50K month. Thank you very much for pointing that out to me.

What we need is an exchange that doesn't suck. Things that suck, in no particular order
  • taxing users a percentage of their capital just to deposit or withdraw
  • low liquidity
  • slow paying of withdrawals
  • slow processing of deposits
  • weeks to verify
  • lack of payment options
  • slow order matching (engine lag)
  • punitive currency conversion commissions
  • untrustworthy order matching
  • excessive trading commission

To my knowledge all current exchanges suck.

More directly OT is Has The Fall of MtGox Already Begun?

Did a int. wire transfer. My bank rejected it because MtGox did not provide any details of who it was from (incomplete address and sender information). Got my money back -$50 after 30 days and too many emails to mtgox. USA here

MtGox is 100% trash.

I asked them to cancel my last withdrawal and the did within an hour. Very nice service, considering that it is Sunday. However the fact that it is Sunday and they CAN do this proves that my withdrawal never reached the bank.

I requested a SEPA withdrawal two weeks ago.
First my withdrawal was in status "pending", a few days later in "confirmed" - and now it's back again in "pending".

I am still waiting for my money.

WTF!?

I've been waiting 5 weeks now. Today I asked if they can cancel the withdrawal and put the money back in my account, I got mails saying my support ticket has been merged with an older ticket and nothing else. No action, no communication, no indication whatsoever that they are actually going to do anything.

This really stinks, they said 2 weeks and it's been nearly 6. I'm sticking to my original plan and handing this debt to debt collectors on Friday because I'm sick of gox's stalling tactics.
