same over here, more stuffs are coming soon too . . . lots of running around to do. bz days ahead building rigs for the local community. those little silver static bags are picos, should be 50 of them.

platinum psu arrived, more reinforcements are on it's way to me.

some gpus unboxed, another 80+ more to come . . . unboxing can be really tiring, lot's of different types of screws & hex for building rigs

happy mining to all

You guys are living a nerd's dream Cheesy

One more question about the TB85, has anyone tried the 1x3 PCIe splitter with it? Were you able to run 7 cards with it? If someone has a TB85 and a 1X3 splitter lying around, could you please try and let us know, it would help. The ASROCK H81 Pro BTC V2 works with the splitter and you can run 7 GPU on that board, and if the TB85 can do too, minus the Asrock's headless bug, it would be the new king of mining boards.

@yslyung - Are those Gigabyte G1 Gaming?   I just got 14 of them for my little LED office.  =)  Let us know how the HP 1500 works out, especially from a noise level stand point.

yes it will & can run splitter, you can run 7 gpu but you MUST have enough power to power all 7 gpu

@OP yeps they are GB G1 gaming, i have another, *roughly* 100 more coming in abt 2 weeks or so. more stuffs are coming, lots of work to be done.

the 1500 ones are working nicely, fully compatible with the breakout boards that i'm using. less high pitch noise & it does seems to be quieter & not so warm on my 7 mixed gpu rig.

these are some of the previous ones purchased, built & delivered to customers, 1 box/carton = 10 gpus

so far it's 1 of my fav gpu

nice ! but . . . 1 gpu goes down, whole rig goes down = lotsa downtime, the initial startup & DAG generation must be loooong. good for enthusiast but imo, it's NOT good or recommended for a newbie. try dual mining & what see it spits out. i won't even goto PSU topic, the amount of mess of cables (heh, except my rigs but still need LOTS of work) & i think 1 of the worse would be to figure out which gpu or hardware is the 1 causing all the issue or the entire rig to fail.

sorry for the -ve points but that's what i think & i hope you take it as constructive -ve points.

nevertheless, HURRY up & share the secret sauce & an awesome job done !

@yslyung - Why are you preferring the Gaming ver over the non gaming one ? Does the gaming one give more hashrate ? I bought 2 Gigabyte 480s and they are the most delicate cards I have, they are OC but they cnt get to higher temp and trip my whole rig :@ !!

hmmm, so far these are the only available ones here locally afaik & so far all of them works really well for me & my customers. prolly just my luck i guess.

don't have any experience with non gaming or GB's 480 models

i'm sure you are aware that 480's consumes alot more power compared to a 470 but so far based on experience, the 470 do sometimes really kicks the butt's of the 480's especially in terms of power consumption & dollar/cost per mhs.

some 470's even kick 480's butt based on 1 to 1 direct comparison in hashrate except gpu intensive algos, 480=36 CU, 470=32 CU but when it comes to mining ETH & overall BEST gpu to use will be a 470 4GB.

I got 2 G1 Gaming Gigabytes cheap over BlackFriday last year, but they turned out to be so light!! Therefore hotter! Silly me! ;p

But if you have enough 'extra' cooling or higher fan speeds - no problems with them. It is just in my environment they run at 62% fan speed which is much more than 'silent' GTX I had.

Ok, enough, I gotta plug one in with a newly arrived riser  Cool

@ citronick - I'm envious of your Sexy warehouse.  Looks super Premium, as I can see fancy walls and even a Built in AC, not that you're using it, but definitely shows this aint a normal crappy warehouse.

@ jstefanop - Hurry and get me 1!!! MUAHAHAHAHA.   What parameters do you set so that 1 problematic GPU won't give the entire rig issues ( -w 1 -r 1) or do you skip watchdog to avoid too many restarts ?  I think the Windows claymore version is getting smarter at that vs before it would hang the entire system.  I'm sure there must be a similar setting for the Linux version.  I like it.  Keep up the good work.

@ yslyung - Very nice bro.  LOVING it.  Make them Platinum Server psu work hard.  Show them how PICO and Server PSU rocking it.   You got to do a multi RIG and take a picture of the LED glow from these GPU.  They're super SEXY after they start to mix up on colors.  I love them.

@ deadsix - I have a splitter board, but it didn't work with my ASROCK H81.  Maybe I have a bad one?  They're not cheap so I'm not really sure if it's worth it to buy it just to have 1 more GPU slot and increase the odd of another piece failure and causing issue?  Are you able to get them for less than $25?

@ onefinecoin - I think the gaming and none gaming is not much of a difference other than OC.  We manually do that anyway so just buy whatever is cheaper.

@ tastypotato - If you're not good at modding ROMs, it's best to stay with RX470 as they're much more easy to get already mod ROM or you can simply copy Mem strap for consistent performance vs RX480 which is a mix bag and uses more power.   I have many different Non ref 480 and they are a pain.

@ Whyme - Just mem strap copy from 1500 to 2000 will get you easily 27MH with this card.  You just have to play with the Mem OC setting after to see what is most stable from 1850 to 1925.  The latter being the highest hash rate.

@ All - Please don't Quote the massive pictures too often as it makes it harder to follow and just add to more scrolling.  It will also add more work for me by editing later to delete and requote everyone by removing the multiple redundant pictures.  It's best to quote the person or response with @person.  Loving everything people are sharing.  AWESOME stuff, just trying to keep it streamline for new readers to follow and existing readers to be able to quickly find things.

yes longer warranty !

wait till those nitros jizz on ya LoL, not to be rude but just saying.

@OP, u mean something like this ?

yeah i like them too.

those 1500's are really hard to get them atm as they are very new in the market, rare & EXPENSIVE, so far i'm very happy with the 1 have now, will see how it goes, i'll slowly grab them when they're available in the market. my regular suppliers will keep them for me. i'll be testing dual 1200W plat on a 7 gpu rig using single c13 heh. really dont have much time but let's see how things goes.

No I bought one for $26, took forever to get to me, but it works with my H81 Pro BTC V2. Did you change PCIe to Gen1? I don't think I needed to change anything else to get it to work.
I'm actually building a 4U case that I would sell with risers/splitter motherboard/cpu/ram/ssd/PSU mounted/fixed, everything except the cards, so I wanted to be sure if I should make it a 6 or a 7 card design. The Asrock H81 increases cost because of the headless display adapter so I wanted to go with the TB85 to keep costs low.
I will be mass producing these since there is a lot of demand in my country and noone knows where to get most of the components, and I have access to a laser cutting/machining shop.

Hmmm, why would you think I got issues with modding bios, I wonder  Roll Eyes

It is a pretty straight forward process. With my all 5 RX 480 I am getting 150+ straight. Still tuning Msi AB and considering starting with only 21Mh/s -,-

I gonna ROI in 2~3 months if all goes above 40~45 bucks for Eth. Please hold your horses, all ya big Farmers out there  Roll Eyes

@Tasty Potato - I didn't word it well.  That's a general statement I always used not specifically to you.  I'm just saying if you're not an experienced BIOS modder meaning know how to use Hex Editor and all, then it's generally best to go with the 470 as they're very consistent and are easier to Mod BIOS w just the basics.  RX480 are a pain even for experience folks.  The fact that all the cards can be shipped with different memory type adds to this challenge.

@yun9999 I believe that's the case since you have much more exp in 470/480/bios. And me being cautious new miner is enough to get decent hashrate increase with none or low try N error. Plus I don't have a test rig to play with fine tuning like Boysie does or fanatic craze to get the most hashrate juice possible. I am more for stability and longevity of the hardware. And one of the reasons for 480 8Gb was reselling value. But reading more and more, I am now thinking that 470 4Gb choice was better in terms of ROI. Especially with those cards with true 8Gb sold as 4Gb.

All my cards have samsung memory for good or for bad it is -,-

@yun9999 Do you run 'free' Claymore miner or have you purchased specially designed miner for your setups? From Claymore or another dev? Or maybe you have info into that, how much better/faster 'designed miners' are to 'the free ones'?
