Nothing they haven't done before. After they killed Spondoolies SP20 sales with the S5, they raised the price twice in one day (not quite 30% total, but about there) just because they could. Bitmain loves money.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

WTF - Bitmain at it again...

953 more L3+ Miners available on Hashnest

3000.0 USD(99.43652635Ł) Each.

Yep they dont' want people to make money who got april and may miners.

I spoke with a source in china they are shipping 30000 units almost 15 Th/s worth by July.

OUCH! I assume this includes the 3 batches IN July in this 15 th figure? or not sure?

Well...time to pay down the equip debt I guess. Stuff to do Sad

Yes that includes July shipment almost 30k sold by july which they will bring online until they decide to ship.

Very slick to presell. Everybody's assumptions are a gradual increase in hashing. The calculations don't know the hashing tsunami coming by august. I would not preorder. Better to know exact hashing power within 10 days of putting order in like with S9.

No cancellation allowed no refund.

If you find out any different let me know.

Yes 6-12 months for ROI they are trying to do the same to LTC in terms of what happened to BTC it takes 6months+ for BTC ROI with S9.

Anyone who gives you any numbers are just guessing, no one knows.  Its better to look at the environment and make assertions for yourself.

Doesn't matter anyway.  Bitmain has a no cancellation policy.  It was pretty genius actually, reel buyers in by offering batches a month apart, then when you sell out for half the year unleash a flurry of miners on their online site and continue to pump out miners.  They now have all the preorder money, all the money from those through Hashnest, and all the money made by mining with the actual machines.

Well, if I get it right, BM gave a $15 Coupon for each L3+ July batch. Maybe someone over there felt guilty and helps your ROI by this.

its pretty self explanatory Let me know if you have any questions.

Definitely not 1 month ROI by July batch. Don't even think the May 5th batch can do 1 month now.
4 things that drive ROI:

1. Total Price paid until powerup with pool settings (shipping, power supply, wire fees, customs/duty, maybe another leg of shipping, markup from another person)
2. Power cost
3. Difficulty
4. LTC Price

1 & 2 are pretty much locked in based on your situation

3 Difficulty is definitely going to the moon. Went up 5% between when I was expecting and when I received and got units up and running. Expected to go up another 12% tomorrow. This has been a moving target and growing as more L3+ are coming online. I expected a 10 week plateau in difficulty from now until July/Aug begins to ship on constant difficulty around 200,000. But Hashnest is getting a shit ton of units on constant basis, so if difficulty goes up 10-15% every 3.6 days, this can get nasty very quickly.

4 segwit is locked in and people bought on the rumor and sold on the news. Price has come off the highs of $39 to $29. If prices continue to retrace, it could make ROI longer too.

My assumptions on diff below. Price is anyones guess and also depends if you sell LTC as you mine it or hold on (win/lose/draw in future).

You are getting 2.1 LTC reward at current diff? I'm getting 1.7 LTC on litecoinpool PPS

nevermind you have 2.1 LTC per 3.5 day period, very conservative.

I suspect it'd be less of a problem with a weaker PSU. Since the overcurrent cutoff on the DPS1200 is about 500 watts higher than expected draw on a L3+, if something goes wrong and a hashboard decides to pull 600 watts instead of 200 watts the cables will notice a long time before the PSU does.

Every time I check the supply boards they're running clean and cool. The one burned up last night had been running clean and cool since Friday afternoon. Almost has to be something screwy with the hashboards, but it's been a different miner on a different power supply each time.

Looks like we'll be swapping in 850W supplies with a less generous overcurrent cutoff and see what happens.

Interested to see if anyone else has had issues.

No issues here but I'm using a single 1500W PSU on each of mine.

I did have one of mine reboot itself for an unexplained reason after 3 days but that's the only thing out of the ordinary so far.

Same miner rebooted itself again, no idea why either. Still hashing normally.

Pool didn't even notice it according to history but the run time status shows it

Are you sure it rebooted and did not just restart cgminer? My runtime in the GUI shows 14h+ but uptime says:
Code:
root@antMiner:~# uptime
 13:37:05 up 3 days, 20:49,  load average: 1.62, 1.22, 1.22

Yup looks like a Cgminer restart and not a reboot for me

 13:43:22 up 3 days, 13:48,  load average: 0.94, 1.00, 1.04

A different L3+ just had a cgminer restart an hour ago so it's apparently something in the miner that does it for whatever reason.

On the LTC total hash rate chart there is a nearly 100% increase for part of the day yesterday.   https://www.antpool.com/    It seems reasonable to assume that was a test and the it shows the next spike coming.

Ok, i want to buy some PSU´s at 110v for L3+ ,  it would be great if some of the old miners can help with some questions

Its safe to run this L3+ on 110v ?

What PSU at 110v you recommend?

Thanks in advance  Smiley

Can you plug the AP3+ into a 110v outlet? or do you require 220v?

No, APW3 and APW3+ does not work with 110V, so that is a crappy advice.

You might want to consider one of the following PSUs when you have 110V:
-Bitmain APW5
-HP DPS-1200 with breakout board and PCI-E cables (sidehack here at the forum has these  Wink )
-EVGA power supply.
