I've noticed that all of my L3 + when shaken with hands, make a sound of the hashboards "dancing"... some more than others (not all hashboards) ... is this normal? Are they a little loose? I made a video to show what I'm saying (maybe you need to turn up the volume so you can hear it).

Yes, that is normal. My S9s are the same.
The case is not super tight and hash boards have some (very little) space to move.
It is nothing that should be worried about though and it is no problem.

Home made setup ready, waiting for those lovely miners  Grin

...
What exactly is that box?
It's a breaker box.

Hi Hagss,  i use  one 200 amp surgebreaker and 8  30amp breakers, for this breaker box, and im planning to plug 10 miners,  but after reading some electrical forums, i think i should use 20 amp breakers. This on 120v.

But i can change the configuration to 10 120v breakers without the surgebreaker or change it for 6 120v breakers and 2 240v breakers.

can you give me some advice on what is the best and smooth option for 10 or 12 L3+,  thanks man.  Smiley

This is my configuration right now, i hope it can run safely once the miners arrive  Grin

The important thing is that your wiring can withstand the amps that your breakers let through.
I think you should not drop the surge protection device off, nice that you have one.

For more I think you should ask someone in the US, because I'm not familiar at all with the ANSI standard (US) world.  Cheesy

Question: Has anyone managed to get any of these solo mining directly to a wallet?

I tried with several scrypt alts that I successfully GPU solo mined but it doesn't seem like the L3+ likes connecting directly to a wallet ip address:port, just pools. If there is something I need to put in my wallet .conf to allow for these faster ASICs to mine please let me know.

Will this miner still be profitable if litecoin loses 40% of it's value because Bitcoin will have segwit too making litecoin just another altcoin again?

I've bought in with some groupbuy and now I'm worried. What will happen with other scrypt coins? Maybe they'll even go up because people switch over from litecoin to others, increasing the difficulty and price.

Which is a good scryptcoin to buy and mine?

Yes, in fact - it seems you can make way more by NOT mining litecoin. Check out hash-to-coins.com or multipool.us. They offer automatic profit switching scrypt-coin pools that currently earn way more than mining litecoin directly. It's A LOT more work since you have to manually trade the alt-coins for whichever currency you desire - but it's worth it.

Litecoin seems fine. Don't surrender to buyer remorse. Be happy if you recoup 80%, or 90%, or maybe 140%? Who knows. But face it without fearing so much. If you recoup let's say 70%. I am pretty sure someone with free energy will want your miner for $700 and you'll be ok. I also have fear, just remember don't put at risk more that you can lose (in this case, the worst case is you lose maybe what, 30%, accounting for mining and then selling the equip for some residual value)?

I don't think there's a huge risk.

Also, I think we'll be in Sept. 30 like 20 T hash rate at current shipment rates. Bad, but not at all horrible.

How do you track like this if you don't have a tracking number that they give you?

I have just received my tracking from FedEx! Yay! Schedule for delivery these few days. At FedEx website, I see the package details total pieces is 1, total weight is 5kg. But I ordered with psu, supposed to be 2 pieces? Now I'm worry if they ship my psu together or not? What is the weight of l3+ miner? Thanks.

while i do not have one of these, i do know that bitmains fork of cgminer does NOT solo mine to a wallet..

so if they are using that fork of cgminer it wont work.. your best bet is to use nh solo or tbdice.org
