You need to use the polaris bios editor from here:

https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor

This one works for sure:)

Currently I have rx 480 nitro +

I have 180 mh (eth) + 2100mh (pasc)

For 1150w

For my next rig I do not know if I should take 480 or 580?

Who has rx 580 among you and what are your stats?

Hello,

Im triing to setup 6x RX580 mining rig on windows 10.

I have XFX RX580 black edition on mobo MSI Z170A carbon

Lastest BIOS
BIOS ACPI setup to gen1 and 4bCodec  - all what you need to setup work with 7  GPU RX480 series

but with RX580 does not work. I can run only 5 cards together.

Latest AMD driver installed.

Please help me? Anyone have working 6 or 7 gpu RX580?

Ethereum stock mining speed absolutely same like RX480. Tommorow i will test bios mod and power usage in wall.

That mobo can do up to at least 7gpu with the 400 series gpus, the right bios and settings and windows in uefi.. HOWEVER i read theres a driver limitation with the 570s and 580s that you can only do up to 5 of them on any mobo

Still, No solution for 6 VGA?

Video in Russian language

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjhCS0i-g30

He says that it is necessary to change the parameter in the BIOS of the motherboard from PCI to other ( i don't understand word)

Can some1 find what he said and translate?

Turn on auto subtitles underneath the video.

Go to settings --> Auto Translate and English. {not the best option but it will get you started}

Almost bought Asus Z170 Pro gaming from newegg... I purchased than realize it doesn't support 6x gpu so had to beg newegg to cancel it. took 40 min finally worked.

I got my 2 Sapphire RX 570 Nitro+ yesterday and now have them mining ZCash at a combined rate of ~550 H/s.
I trottled back the core, so both running at 1150/1750 and total watt at wall for this two card rig is a nice 226 Watts.
For ETH they are doing around ~24.5MH/s out of the box, total Watt is 235Watts.  Same core/mem speed.

No matter what I try the rig crashes if I increase mem freq to 1751, up one from the default 1750.
Display starts artifacting, then driver crashes and hard boot is required. That's bad news if I want to copy the 1750 mem strap to 2000.  I think these cards have got the shittiest memory chips of the all, the Micron/Elpida.  Has anybody managed to
overclock these?

EDIT:  GPU-Z shows the memory as Hynix, so I should be better off than with Micron, right?
I have the same problem with botch cards:  Cant increase mem beyond 1750.  Just 1MHz over and the rig crashes.  What gives?

Post additional info: 1) Drivers 2) OS 3) Modded or not? (Details) 4) What software are you using to OC?

Also MOBO/Memory/riser or no etc.

Much easier to help then.

Driver is 17.4.3 with atikmdag-patcher-bios.   Win 7 64  SP 1 only.

I think I have solved it.
Somehow, Claymore's zecminer  -mclock switch causes these cards to artifact.  So I removed -mclock switch from the cmd.
I used d0ct0r83's  SRBPolaris editor to change the memory default frequency to 1800, just as a start.  I then copied the
1750 strap to higher.  I burned new BIOS to the first card to test it.  It is working now at 1150/1800.
I am on my way to higher hashrates now :-)   Will send some coin to d0ct0r83 for his excellent editor.

RX 570: Power consumption goes up quite a bit with core frequency so I throttled back my RX 570 to 1200/2100 core/mem.
This is a Sapphire RX 570 Nitro+ with Hynix memory.
Some stats:
ETH mining @ 1200/2100: ~29,67MH/s, power measured at wall with one gpu: 144W
ZEC mining @ 1200/2100: ~295 H/s, power: 131W
HWinfo shows "only" 28 memory errors after 30 minutes of ZEC mining.

A few GPU tests Sapphire 5xx. A few successes, but one problem.

I use:

Asus Z270F Strix - Without any problems, 7 GPUs work or MSI Z270-A Pro 6 GPU ready, I have tried, I currently operate about 10 Rigs without problem (RX 4xx)

PolarisEditor by jaschaknack - https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor/tree/110aa3a5a0aeafe16bb0a96b53583e7e8e77999b
SRBPolaris - BIOS editor
AtiFlash 2,74
atikmdag-patcher-1.4.5
Wattool o.92 does not function

Sapphire 570 4GB Nitro+ Hynix - strap 1750 - 1100/2050/-96mv-gpu/+20powertarget = 29,3MHs @ cca 156 on the wall

Sapphire 570 8GB Nitro+ Hynix - Strap 1750 - 1100/2100/-96mvgpu/+30powertarget = 29,6MHs

Sapphire 570 4GB Pulse Elpida - strap 1750 - 1100/1910/-96mv-gpu/+30powertarget = 24MHs @ cca 150-160 on the wall

Sapphire 580 8 GB Pulse Hynix - strap 1750 - 1100/2150/-96mv-gpu/+30powetarget = 27,3MHs @ Here I do not know exactly, a little more than 570, No more than 170

Sapphire 570 4GB Mini Elpida - strap 1750 - 1110/2040/-96mvgpu/30+target = 26,3-26,4 @ 164w on the wall = 169 USD newegg very nice

Sapphire 580 8GB Nitro+ - Hynix - Strap 1750 - 1100/2200/-96mvGPU/50powertarget = 27,8MHs

Hynix on 570 is better then Hynix on 580. Hynix on 570 timing 7777 @ 1750 but 580 hynix 999 @ 1750 but i have to check this because the problem is two different time sets 1: 1750 and 2: 1750 each for another set of memories.

This is my tests, But I have a little problem. The signature for the modified bios driver is ok. But it does not work at the same time 570 with 580 on one motherboard.

If the 4x 570 works and re-sign the driver, the 580 runs but does not run 570.

Simply, it works either it or it. It does not work together.

Does anyone have any advice or idea?

Maybe a new Atipatcher?

These numbers raise a few eyebrows... Can you please perhaps check the memory markings physically on the following cards and maybe take photos of the numbers:

Sapphire 580 8GB Nitro+ - Hynix
Sapphire 580 8 GB Pulse - Hynix
Sapphire 570 4GB Pulse - Elpida
Sapphire 570 4GB Mini - Elpida

When you mention your cards in this topic please provide the following info:

Manufacturer / MODEL / MEMORY CAPACITY

Otherwise your posts are useless Sad

4 or 8GB?

Its a 4 Gb.  I think the 8Gb performance will be about the same.  So far I am very happy with my RX 570s.
They are better than my RX 470s, in terms of hash, power and noise.
