how many watts/card are you guys getting one cryptonight? I've got 4 580s and 2 570s and still end up at about 700-730watts total...100+ per card. I thought we could get it down to 70-90? I'm running 1050/2200 on the 8GB cards and 1050/2000 on the 4gb.

Is the 580 much better than the 570?

I’m looking for 6 cards, any advice on model and brand welcome.

Hello everyone,

I am totally newbie for all of  this. I have the Sapphire RX580 Nitro + Special Edition 8Gb SAMSUNG memory cards. I have the Win10 OS, I have put the BIOS plug on the card in position for flashing (also saved the original ROM), installed Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Vorkloads-Aug23 drivers, used the atikmdag-patcher and in the MSI Afterburner set: CoreVoltage -162, LImit -20 Power, Core Clock 1152, Memories Clock 2250 and with these settings I get only 27.4Mh / s per card (now I have three cards).

Anyway, I tried to flash bios with some suggested straps, like putting this: 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17
to 2: 1750 2: 2000 and 2: 2500 - but there is no change in Mh /s. Which  ever I have tried, it's always 27.4Mh /s ! (of course, there were some fallss in the attempts to use different drivers, not using afterburner ... and all the other things you can imagine someone new would try to do)

I've read that my cards should have at least 30Mh / s. Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance!

The core and memory settings are also confirmed like that in GPU-Z? Seems hard to believe that no matter which timings you use it also yields the same hashrate.
What is the PSU you are using? Do you hace any stability issues?

Hi, thanks for taking interest :-)

PSU is EVGA 750W GOLD. I have no stability issues. Memory and core settings shows the way I have set them (1152 Core and 2250 Memory Clock)
But, maybe you misunderstood me, because I have only tried to put this 777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17  to 2: 1750 2: 2000 and 2: 2500 and after that I was just trying to do things in Afterburner with no change in Mh/s
As I said I am complete starter (whole 4 days in this) so I am afraid to try any timings on my own. Should I try to copy 1:1750 to 2: 1750 2: 2000 and 2: 2500
or something else. I didn't saw any suggestions for my card Sapphire RX580 Nitro + Special Edition 8Gb with SAMSUNG memory. I have only saw some suggestions and rom for this card with Hynix memory. And for all I read settings for Hynix memory card are completely different than the one for Samsung memory cards.

Any suggestions for straps I could try?

Try editing your memory straps with Polaris Bios Editor and use the 'One Click' option. https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor
...or get a pre-configured BIOS form here. https://anorak.tech/c/downloads/sapphire
Then trade your mined coins on Binance, the best exchange, they always supports forks, just got my 'Super Bitcoin' & 'Bitcoin X' bonuses, sign up here.. referral https://www.binance.com/?ref=10028938

There is no rom for my cards on https://anorak.tech/c/downloads/sapphire I tried looking there already - that is my actual problem - no rom for Sapphire RX580 Nitro + Special Edition 8Gb with SAMSUNG memory. I am using Polaris Bios Editor :-)

Does someone have a rom for a MSI RX580 ARMOR 8Gb for ETH mining please?

You need to specify at least the memory type. I would suggest to you also looking for a ROM yourself. Google should help you and you will find sth within 2 minutes. Just try one out that seems to be legit and run some tests with it.

Try this bios, might be easier than modding straps yourself which is incorrect. Correct strap i believe is "777000000000000022CC1C00AD615C41C0590E152ECC8608006007000B031420FA8900A00300000 010122F3F88354019":

Thanks a lot! I will try as soon as possible. My "non crypto currency" life is consuming me a lots of time :-)
Also I have one more problem, Win10 recognizes 6 cards, but Claymore is crushing when more than 5 cards. It's a known problem with Asrock MB, but I have no time to play with it. As soon as I fix all the issues (hopefully) I will write here every step of the way how I did it - I don't want anyone to go thru this hell like me :-))))))

If you are looking for shear profit and don't mind which coin to mine try one of the Cryptonote coins (like Monero, Sumokoin or Electroneum), they take about 20%-30% less power to mine than Ethash coins, like Ethereum, so can be more profitable.

Hey guys, looking for a bit of help here - I did my 6 GPU RX 570 setup, with 3 different types of cards, found some BIOS-es I like, the hashrate is good and stable but my power usage is very high right now. I know the last step is to apply the voltage offsets like -95mV, etc. depending on the card but I can't figure out how to do that.

First I tried Afterburner and unlocked the voltage control but it doesn't give me a voltage offset slide and instead gives me a total voltage slider so I can do like 850mV, 950mV, etc. However, that doesn't seem to have any effect as I can see that the MVDDC is still very high in GPU-Z.

Then I tried Saphhire Trixx and the voltage offset actually did work, however, the app was pretty buggy as a whole - I cannot setup core and memory clocks as whenever I apply the values, they reset to 0 / 0 as soon as I move to the next card.

So back to Afterburner, can somebody help me understand why I don't get a voltage offset slider instead of a total voltage one and am I doing this correctly overall or am I missing some step after the VBIOS flash?

I have had problems with MSI Afterburner where the voltage change would not 'take' but found that if I restarted the miner the new voltage would show up.
If you want to further reduce your power consumption mine Cryptonote coins (Monero, Sumocoin, Electroneum) this algo is much less power hungry than, say, Ethash. Try it and see the difference.

Let us know which version of Afterburner, Windows, Video drivers you are using it may help diagnose the problem.

I generally agree and the BIOS-es I've flashed are very well optimized for Cryptonight too - I have 6 GPUs running at 4900 H/s @ 850W but right now the earnings for dual ETH mining are just better - it's around $4/card/day at ETH+PASC while XMR gives you only $2.5 and the difference is enough to compensate for increased power consumption. Also wanted this rig to be for ETH to diversify from my Vega rig.

With regard to the config - I'm using the Blockchain drivers and Afterburner v4.4.0.11945, running on Windows 1709 (Fall Creators Edition).

It looks like you know what you are doing so I'm probably not much help, but the version of Afterburner you are using is, I think, the latest released version (just downloaded it and checked version number). I'm using the beta version v4.4.0 Beta 17 (which has version number 4.4.0.11705) and it works OK. There maybe a newer beta version but this one works fine for now. So maybe using the beta version would work for you. I think there was a problem, maybe still is a problem, with offical release version and blockhain drivers not working well together.

Hi just wanted to ask if what bios mode you can set with this brand Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 4gb
I can only get 26 mh/s ethash algo..
Do you know how to dual mine and improve the hashing power of this unit?

I don't know what you mean by 'bios mode' but you might be able to flash the bios with polaris Bios Editor https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor and select the 'one click' option to improve your hash rate, or use a bios from this list (if your card is on the list) https://anorak.tech/c/downloads/gigabyte

Hi everyone,

I have finally succeed in making my SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon™ RX 580 8GD5 Special Edition with SAMSUNG memory to work as they should, making 30.700 – 30.900Mh/s
As I said earlier, this is all new to me, only 10 days in business. I believe that somebody who is pro would make even more Mh/s, but this is for now enough Mh/s for me :-)
I would like to share with you everything I had to do to manage this hash rate and hopefully help somebody who is newbie like me.
I will start from scratch!
IMPORTANT: everything is done on one card, then pull out that one and put the other one in the PCIe slot.

1.   First I had put bios switch on the graphic card in position for flashing, how that is done you can find here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FT9K8DqaeDs
2.   Then, I have checked which kind of memory do I have on my RX580 with this tool : https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-gpu-z/  (GPU-Z)
3.   I have downloaded latest Crimson driver from here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-[Suspicious link removed]pute-Release-Notes.aspx    You should only unpack driver, without starting setup. In Device Manager on your display adapter right click on your graphic card and select Update driver/Browse my computer for driver software – and navigate to folder where you unpacked your driver.  When you put the other card after the first one – windows would install the same driver – you don’t need to go thru this process again.
4.   Run atikmdag-patcher  https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher  Here is where you can download and see the manual.
5.   Run ATI Winflash https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-winflash/   THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP. Click SAVE to save your original rom!!!
6.   Run Polaris Bios Editor https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor  Open yours saved original rom. In the straps section copy 1:1750 strap on to 1:2000 strap. Also copy 2:1750 strap on to 2:2000 and 2:2250. I am not sure if you need to copy all these like this – but it worked for me. Save as modified rom file!!!
7.   Run ATI Winflash again click load and navigate to your modified rom and click Program. It took less than minute to program. When pops up to restart computer – restart it.
8.   Run MSI Afterburner – I have only changed Memory Clock to 2250MHz ( crashes when is more then that ) and set it up to start with Windows
9.   Run your miner. I am using Claymore https://github.com/nanopool/Claymore-Dual-Miner/releases

You can see here how my rig works and settings for Afterburner https://1drv.ms/f/s!ArSvoXaDMgNgbRF91Bsilby9zVg

OK, after setting every card individually you should set up now all to work together. First put two, then put the third card, fourth... and so on. After putting every card I have waited a while for Windows to run drivers ( you can see in processes when he is finished), and started my Claymore miner. Maybe you can set up whole six at once but, as I said, this is the way it worked for me. And that would be all for setting up your cards.

Recommendation would be to set up Windows not to update your drivers and not to update Windows at all. I have Windows 10 Pro, and I modified update behavior:

How to prevent windows to update drivers: http://www.itprotoday.com/windows-server/stop-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10

How to prevent windows system updates: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-stop-updates-installing-automatically-windows-10

If somebody thought everything went smoothly – hate to tell you – it was a real hell :-)
What went wrong:

1.   I had 2 bad extenders for graphic cards – one of them melted and made a lot off smoke. Never panic, always be near power plug so you can react fast on these occasions.
2.   Making two PSUs to work together also was a challenge. It was smoking again – not sure why, but it did burned one power extension for sata. I was using adapter like this one but with 5 connectors : http://www.thermaltake.com/Power_Supply/Accessories_/PSU_Cable/C_00002406/Dual_PSU_24Pin_Adapter_Cable/design.htm
I have two EVGA PSU’s: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G3, 80 Plus Gold 1000W     and     EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ GOLD 750W  . I had problems to boot with them until I have changed order of attaching them on power cable extender. My extender has 5 connections, so it didn’t work until I have put EVGA 1000W on first – primary connection and EVGA 750W on the second one.
3.   Also, I had problem after setting up the fifth card - I couldn’t set up the sixth one. Windows recognized the whole six cards but miner was crashing. I have only 4GB of memory and that was the problem – you should set up page file on 16GB. Control Panel/System/Advanced System Settings , Tab Advanced, under Performance click on Settings, Advanced tab and under Virtual memory click on Change. Untick Automatically manage... and select Custom size. Also I have changed in BIOS settings for PCIe to use Gen2, and Multi core enhancement as in  video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9HMKsZJEyk    But I think setting up page file is enough
4.   Also what I needed to use was DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-get/display-driver-uninstaller-download,1.html  to uninstall display drivers when installed the wrong one.

That is pretty everything. Except suggestion to change behavior for PSUs on power loss : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y442wSnEoY – restore on ac/power loss  = power on

and to put in Windows startup your miner: to copy miner in the startup in the run box type shell:startup and startup folder will pop up, just copy shortcut of your miner there.

Hope this will help someone :-) Thank you all for trying to help me and sorry for my English...

Are you getting any "GPU#X Incorrect ETH Shares" errors?  When I set to that, I get enough errors to make the 30.X Mh's not worth it.

No, I have no errors.
Now two days working without any problem :-)

https://1drv.ms/f/s!ArSvoXaDMgNgcESjij-11dJFjPg    - this one is with Statistic in Claymore you can see there that there are no errors.

I'm having trouble getting my Asus rx580 8g OC Dual Hynix (not Strix) to hash over 20mh.  I've tried some flashing with some roms from anorak and it didn't do anything for me so far.  Does anyone else have experience with this card and getting it to hash at least in the high 20's?  If so, what did you do?  I'm a true beginner, learning all this from scratch as I go, so I apologize in advance.  I truly appreciate the help though!

If you are running Windows 10 or 7 then update the drivers to the AMD blockchain drivers , just got to the AMD web site and type "blockchain" in the search bar and it will pull up the link. http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-Edition-Beta-for-Blockchain-Compute-Release-Notes.aspx
You may have to then run Pixel Patcher https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher
Then crank up the memory clock with MSI Afterburner until it crashes, this will give you the upper limit of the cards memory speed.

You could also try creating an improved BIOS with Polaris Bios Editor and use the ONE CLICK button. https://github.com/jaschaknack/PolarisBiosEditor
