Yes, City wanted to loan Gomez out once he signs, but that's no longer possible, he is going to stay with the team and develop under one of the best managers in the world, Pep Guardiola. City missed out on Cucurella, but honestly i don't think that it is too big of a loss, i mean, i'm not even sure if Cucurella would have been in City's regular starting eleven had he signed, Cancelo is absolutely brilliant, and no manager in his right senses would put him on the bench. From my point of view, I think that the technical director is the big problem, and that technical director is going to lead Man United to total bankruptcy in terms of football, and it is incredible that the team management has not noticed it, nothing more getting mad at CR7 by not getting him to play is something he should no longer do, he has turned everything into a personal problem and these things are really bad for a team, as I see it, they will continue to lose against teams that should win because they are not so complicated to win, of course this my opinion.

Signing Cunha £42m? According to transfermarkt, the market value of this player is only around €30m, it is crazy to pay £42m for him. I also doubt if Cunha is a proper player to improve Man United performance, TBH I don't see something special from this player. In my opinion, Ronaldo is still better than Cunha although he is almost 38 years old. Actually, Man United doesn't need to look for a new striker since they already have Ronaldo and Martial. What they should do is using a proper strategy to optimize their attackers' productivity and they must ensure all players play solidly as a team. Then, choose a new captain and sell Maguire as soon as possible. It is what they should do!

I believe if you bring the whole substitute players from another team they will perform better than the main ManU team right now.. So until he gets the lurking power of ManU, he will be fine.
For the asking price, yes it is abusive, there is like €20m extra to be added for his real value but I assume it is the contract effect. There is still 4 years in his contract with ATM..
