I think it would be a waste of time if they try to keep the player and keep him at Barcelona. They already have a good attacking line up at the moment, why would they need Depay? To have him sit on the bench and not play? I think first of all it doesn't suit the player himself, he should be let go. Aubameyang to Manchester United is nowhere near true and that can never be possible. Thomas Tuchel must have called him directly to link up at Chelsea but Barcelona won't take less and Chelsea won't pay more that 15_18 million for the player.

it was weird that he chose money over staying at a very successful team, especially knowing how bad Man utd are right now, but financially speaking, it's good for real madrid and casemiro, and Man utd can use his help to make things balanced between defense and midfield, not sure he can make a big difference though.

He may not be that great but he is not the type of player that can turn a team into a winning team. They wanted to get De Jong and couldn't afford him, now they are looking at Casemiro, but they should have gotten a look at defenders instead, they think all their problems are about midfield and that’s a big mistake, looking at the 4 goals in 35 minutes, that wasn't about the midfield at all, that was about defence.
