Thanks.

How do you gentlemen verify stability when testing changes in afterburner?  Invalid shares?  Lock ups or crashes of the miner/system?

For me I just push it till it stop crashing.   But if you game with the overclock settings for mining.  You get the worse stability.  Sometimes I forget to change back.  lol

You should start with lower TDP like 70% and compare for best hashrate per watt.

For us it was push it till it crashed. Back it down till it didn't crash, then once it was stable for 24 hours, leave it alone and set the rest around those settings, if problems came about, keep looping till there's no crashing.

Our warehouse we were running ours at 80%, here at home I'm running everything at 55-60% for 4 Sol/W

As far as it crashing I assume that means the miner window.  Does it close out, lock up, or produce an actual error message?  I appreciate the advise.  Very helpful.

Seen a few people with 110% TDP, heavy overclocks, pushing 750+ sol/s.  Impressive but total power hogs and their fans were at 100% constantly.   Grin

I have no equipment to measure power consumption in order to calculate sol/w.  Not sure if there is some other way to do it yet.

It is tempting to try and find another gigabyte 1080ti like this one I have and install it but man the costs are still way up there.  This whole crytpo mining thing is fun!

Just buy a kill a watt meter or similar,  a must have for any tweakers.

When you bring down tdp it downshifts your GPU, so voltage goes down, and core clock goes down.  You can do , what is it crtl + f ? or some shortcut and modify your voltage/core clock curve manually.  I believe that is what you are looking for

Hello,
My 2x 1080ti Strix OC are unstable, especially GPU2 with Equihash Cry . I Tried with different OC settings, different versions- CUDA Zcash miner(0.3.3 /0.3.4b), different pools. Results are the same.. and have no idea why is that. If anyone has any suggestions i will be grateful.
   Thank you!

What's your PSU? Did they crash when not OC?

PSU is Evga Supernova 1300 G2 80 Gold. Yes, they are unstable even while they are not OC. They work 100% stable, without any hesitation only with "NiceHash Miner". Maybe there is an option or setting that i miss somewhere...

With Equihash, Asus 1080 ti Trix can stable at +200, 1080 ti OC can stable at +100. Your setting and your PSU are fine. What's driver you use? Please post your *.bat setting and log errors here.

OK killawatt has been ordered!

Does the miner benefit more from core clock or memory clock?  I've read conflicting info.

With neoscrypt.

What soft should I use ?
I get 1330 mh/s/1080Ti when I use ccminer2.2.2

well I have likae about 1630 -1650 mh/s on neoscrypt with ccminer2.2.2 32 bit, this version slightly faster then 64bit
also important that you should use memory overclock @ maximum stable level, neoscypt loves memory speed

it depends on which algo you use. each are tune differently. so you need to read a lot of pages to find the one that you want or you can ask here and you might get some answer - direct or indirect sometime

Did someone use this cards for mining? http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=1002&lang=ru They are quite cheap, but I did never find any mentions on this cards

They're essentially just reference 1080Ti cards. Loud and poor cooling.

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

Really depends on the algo.

For example, on Lyra2Z  I can set memory down all the way to -502, Core +100 and TDP to 60% and still get 3200+ KH.

Skein has a sweet spot at similar settings but 70% TDP

For eth and all coins on the same algo, it's memory speed. My 1060 farm is at 65% TDP, +100 core, +700 mem (Thank you MSI for using Samsung chips) and get 24MH per card at 67w per card. For the 1080Ti the settings would be similar but I haven't tested the memory overclock stability level yet.

Did I help you? If yes, hit me up with some Eth!

As already said - depends on algo, but as usial green cards are the best at algos using core clock. It`s true except time, then some coin gives profit, that make u to forget about "usial using"

Mining w/equihash right now.  My bad for not being clear on that.

Is it possible to run two different model 1080 ti gpu in one computer?  Can you put them in SLI?

Mining LUX, with ccminer 2.2.2 31MH on 1080ti . Some people reach 40MH with spmod. I'll settle with regular ccminer.

Yes it is possible, I have different models/brands in my rigs. SLI is irrelevant for mining.

Certainly SLI is irrelevant for mining.

Some of us are using our systems for mining and gaming both.  This was the reason for asking if you can use two different models/brands in one computer and if so does SLI work.

I mined the same card with/without sli and I couldnt see a difference. Maybe someone can confirm this ?
