Sounds like we might be down a developer?   I'm sure Unvoid and Ek are still coding away on the mainnet.  Sad to see Coral go.

Who can tell me briefly the meaning of forging? How will my computing power be used to solve specific problems with a supercomputer or is it something like a POS?

Current network is PoS without block rewards (taken directly from NXT). Forgers are being rewarded with fees from TXs included in blocks.
Since there're not too many transactions, the rewards are low. The computing part is still in development and not available in the network.
This is intermediate state of waiting for the final product that will enable matching supply and demand of processing power.

It is a very big exchange yes but it has very big problems for some time and i don't want to use there.

Me neither. Bittrex is very troublesome both in support and usage. It's better off for XEL to become listed in better exchanges that have quick support and great liquidity. If Elastic gets listed on a good exchange, it would certainly gather a lot of attention from big traders and investors on the markets. Liquidity is key here to make the cryptocurrency soar to new all-time highs in price.

Things aside, I've been watching closely XEL as it brings something innovative in the blockchain industry. I believe that decentralized computing is the future, and will become a fierce rival against centralized solutions such as VPS, cloud computing, and more. While there are other projects which are like XEL such as Golem, XEL has unique features and a great development team guiding it every step of the way.

Since XEL is based off its own blockchain (in contrast to Golem which relies on ETH blockchain where it experiences delays), it would have less load in processing transactions. It would be ideal to invest into this cryptocurrency for the long term, given its huge potential to become a solid decentralized computing platform in crypto land.

Nevertheless, I hope that XEL could get the attention it deserves and become a better competitor against other decentralized computing projects. The competition is fierce, but only those who can provide enough mainstream support will certainly succeed. Smiley

A great article that shows the differences between the XEL platform and Golem. I also hold the opinion that it is possible to attract investors through listing on another exchange.

Isn't this old news? Coral might have been helping now and then but has left quite a while now. Unvoid even before him.

The only main dev has always been EK

if a token is entering mass adoption, there is a strong possibility to disrupt the sales market so that the token price can change by taking advantage of the investment from the investor.

As I said that has been the case most of the time anyway. It's always been mostly EK with some help from now and then. Nothing to worry about. At least not because of this.

I thought this was the case too, just EK had asked CR to help him to do something - I can't remember what though. EK can take all the time in the world to finish creating Elastic.

CR offer to make XEL-Miner and help with ElasticPL, to me it looks like both task are done and can be optimized by other contributors. "only" thing left is Core Client that will handle whole computing part. And yes, i agree. EK should take all the time in the world to finish what he started and in the process ignore trolls. Plenty of us who will fight them.

There were announcements about site redesign. Is it still under redesign process? Just curious why it takes so much time?  Is there any new changes in programming code? What kind of work have been done for the last time since previous announcement ( I think it was in december)

Great idea and project! Saw your site it's updating right now and there is not much information there. I don't understand is it will use just as 1 super computer for all or it will be a cloud computing with different kind of devices PC, mobile?
PS: Now i get it  i saw your bitcoin mining video it's awesome!

There're no ETA of any kind in this project - it's just a voluntary work

You can track progress in github here
https://github.com/OrdinaryDude/ElasticPrototypeWallet/commits/master

and here
https://github.com/sprocket-fpga/xel_miner/commits/master

The second repo was maintained by CR, but he announced he's leaving, so not sure if he handed out the access to someone else, or it will be just copied to another one (if/when required)

Not sure who's in charge for the website
