Any idea how many BTB were lost at Cryptsy?
I lost almost 500

I wonder if they're actually lost from the network or if someone sold all those stolen bars on another exchange.

They used to be worth way more than they are now. Maybe the thieves dumped them off and that's what dropped the value.

What do you think?

HBN took a real nose dive after Cryptsy.

42 coin dropped tremendously in value since cryptsy also.

I feel like one of the biggest wallets, if not the biggest is the cryptsy Bitbar wallet.

Remember their wallet went offline around block 135,000ish if I recall correctly.

The bars are still there I feel, there wasnt another exchange to dump on, as BTER volume was shit, and plus their hacking issue.

Last I heard, there is  a lawyer in Florida that is filing to represent cryptsys frozen assets, but I do not know if vern has giving over private keys to all the wallets... or in our case, Bitbars keys.

Its all about what the people want...

remember there wallet had been on a fork for well over a month. I lost 125 btb when I did a withdrawal.
The wallet would have to be brought back to the correct chain - which would make my withdrawal disappear from their wallet, then they/someone would have to go trough their records to see where the 'extra' btb's go.

I't 'could' happen, but i'll not be holding by breath.

They should just give me the exchange   Grin

Don't forget Cryptopia. When BTB was listed there is when the price started falling.

I hope you guys get your bars back though.

I just thought it a weird coincidence that some coins that were pretty heavily traded on Cryptsy went to poopoo after BigVern closed shop.

I wish I knew where Cryptsy is/was located in FL. If it was close I'd go check it out.

I did some more updates on the skins wallet.
skins folder
This is a link to the folder, this way I can replace the files without having to keep adding links to this thread. (the older ones are now broken)

I figured out what was wrong with the windows versions - my pc was causing the problems - so I wiped the drive and set windows up again ...

Anyway the skins folder belongs in the same place you put the wallet. ie., desktop, program files , c:/bitbar ... whatever
the bitbar-skins-qt.exe wallet will look for the skins folder in the same place it (the wallet) is ran from.  this should make things easier.

you may need to 'browse' for the skins folder (using the wallet) to point the wallet back to the proper skins folder (the one that is in the same location as the bitbar-skins-qt.exe file)
the wallet remembers the location you pick, along with the skin you pick.

in linux, the skins directory goes in the .bitbar directory.

Later on, I'm hoping to add an 'update feature' so the wallet can get new/updated skins.

I just checked ispace and they have updated their wallet and are on the right chain now. I guess reminding them from 8 different angles is how you gotta do it.

did the tx show up in the block explorer?

Just wondering because their info page is about 448 blocks behind.

Wallet is showing total network hashrate of 2 Ghash (that's with a G )
Last time I looked - a few days ago - it was around 300 Mhash

Hopefully someone is getting a lot of orphans.

I went back to the explorer and looked at the last 100 blocks, they were 20 seconds to a minute apart.
Bitbar doesn't like that.

I believe one of the things the original developer(s) did was to make difficulty change in smaller amounts.
Don't know why - think I read it somewhere ..

That was before ASIC miners.

People need to learn to sneak up on it.

The current BitBar blockchain has been synced, and is available for download on CryptoChainer.com.  This chain is almost impossible to sync from scratch, due to it's age and potential forks that have occurred.  You can download it, and be in sync almost instantly with this chain.

I notice their info page is always behind and not just on Bitbar. I've been switching back and forth from H2C and ispace. I'm liking ispace because they have Frankos and H2C keeps taking them off because of supposed forks. Also merge mine Beezercoin. I was getting syscoin also on the merge but it's not happening anymore. If you click on "My Mining" it should show the coins you are mining and have a balance. If you click on "Bitbar"  it will show you the last block found and the current block, along with other info.

Nobody is mining it.
I'll point a rig at it for a while and get it going again.
