I'm not really sure what batch it will be in, but I may or may not be willing to sell my 18ghash board (and whole account for that matter) depending on market conditions closer to the ship date.

What is your order number. you can have a pretty good estimate if you will be in the first batch or not:)?

I dont understand why cloud hashing had to be refunded. I mean the batch was bought already. How can they expect that the money can flow back? Or did terrahash sign a contract that allowed this? Anyway... its poor morale of cloud hashing to act this way.

Hey terrahash,
Does anyone know the details of their hosted hashing pool? I know you charge like 10$ per 18ghash board per month. Is this going to be linked into another mining pool like eligius? (0% fee) That would definitely increase the stability of the mining!
Is there a % fee on the mining pool?
Because I don't know the details, I might actually end up having you guys ship it, and mining it myself in a lego case, with my RPI

How do you all think will Terrahash deal with the potential for BKK creating the overclocked boards which only hold 14 Avalon chips? Instead of a K16, it will be a K14. Did we pay for the number of chips or the hash rate? In reference to this discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.1700

Cloudhashing is a business, a business that has overhead, which includes employees, electricity, data center etc so its not as easy as setting up a rig in your house. That business model is also tied to difficulty of mining etc. so the delivery of equipment by a certain date is critical to success. I am just speculating that Terrahash could have salvaged that deal had they agreed to reduce their profit margin. Then they would have made a little less money but also been able to advertise they were supplying Cloudhashing. Frankly, on another topic they would have been better served to advertise that they had the relationship with CH as this would have given them a ton of credibility. ASIC mining companies (all of them) suffer from the lack of marketing expertise.

TerraHash should not have any problems putting 16 ASIC on the board and meeting their hash rate that was specified. The problem comes when someone wants to over clock the board and finds that overclocking is limited by the power supply. I don't think TerraHash guaranteed that their board could be overclocked.

All TH has to do to make me happy is deliver the Hash rate I paid for 2 weeks after they get the chips. Anything more than that, makes them heros.

You bought a large with only funds for 2 boards? That's interesting.
I signed up for hosting, but if I didn't do that, I'd probably build a lego case, and use a 420w corsair PSU
lego's ftw! Exactly. I really wanted to order a case and add modules later, but couldn't justify it to myself based on the amount of hashpower I could get for just the cost of the case. Legos to the rescue! A friend of mine uses a lego case for his super duper gaming desktop rig Honestly, what kind of cooling do these things need? Would 4 120mm 900rpm fans cut it, in a tunnel configuration around the board work?

But I thought that that discussion is saying that they are going to change the board so that it is necessarily overclocked and in order to put 16 chips will require an extra power reg. I may be mistaken.

Any asic mining board company that can deliver affordable quality boards/units to its customers at large in a timely manner, and stand behind what they sell, will have the world by the tail! Lets hope we all picked a winner with Terrahash!

From reading all of BkkCoins posts, it sounds like heat won't be a huge issue with the boards, and just moderate airflow should keep them cool enough. I can't find the specific posts about this offhand, but dig around on this thread for more info (it's a fun read too!): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190731.0

Depending on the terms of the mining pool, I might do this myself with eligius
I really want to know those terms
