My TH refund experience:
Started on approx June 24 late at night.
Finally got my refund today. PAINFUL and HORRIBLE process with TH in my case. Now that i got it i will post.
I had originally asked in a paypal dispute. Did not know about ticket system for refunds. Note if you open a dispute it will automatically mark you as refunded on thier site this is not true! Don't get false hope out of seeing it there, its automatic with a paypal dispute with their system.
After i read about ticket system on here, put in multiple tickets asking for help. No response given in timely manner. Turned into claim once paypal would let me. The claim triggered a response on one of my tickets. At this point finally got a response from TH they basically threatened me in email saying close claim or let paypal decide it. They had no interest in working within paypal for my refund, only to get a claim closed against them (dispute they didn't care about it seemed only claim got any attention).
So at this point had claim opened. Waiting for TH to respond within paypal with their side so paypal could judge case. They never even responded, so had to wait till their timeline was over to submit their side.
Finally today was able to call paypal since TH's time had expired on responding. Paypal ruled in my favor. The money is on its way back and will be spent in another venture.
So final thoughts took me from June 24th to July 5th to get my money back. Hope your refunds go easier then mine, and if not i feel your pain!
thank you for sharing, i am going through the exact same process. I will not comment until i have received refund but it's pretty clear what th is doing now. All doubts removed. Ditto, I am having the same experiences getting a refund, anybody on here who ordered through PayPal I would be requesting refund whilst you still can.

Re-posting tips for those doing paypal refunds:
Do dispute over item never recieved, as you never received item. Keep it simple on dispute something i paid for product... never received.... what you did to contact TH. (DO NOT make accusations of fake or fraud or makes your claim that much harder to win)
Hope it works for you to!

terrahash support refund request sent: check Paypal item not received refund initiated: check personalized email to amir requesting refund: check
I really do hope they succeed, but it's not going to be on my dollar with the lack of respect they are showing to us the community, logging in and not coming forth and saying anything... complete bullshit, stop hiding under your desk, be a man and tell us what is going on in a reasonable time frame.

Just sent out an email. We have secured two additional early-may orders of Avalon ASIC chips. We now have 40,000 chips (all ordered before May 16) which are enough to process all the orders that we received during our pre-order opening. If we get the Avalon chips by the end of this month, we will ship out all the orders by Mid August.
On a separate note, the test board is hashing now. I will post pics/videos tomorrow. Have a great weekend!
Nice!

These are all the pussies who are wussing out now because of the falling USD/BTC value. Just keep watching, they all will want back in once it goes up. Fucking whiners. Gill- cool it with the language....and what you say has never come up in here as an issue for cancelling,,,(BTC Values) I think we all know the ups and downs of BTC by now. Oh and by the way" how much do you have invested with TH? funny I dont see you name on the chip list either?

These are all the pussies who are wussing out now because of the falling USD/BTC value. Just keep watching, they all will want back in once it goes up. Fucking whiners. Oh whining like this? He just said that chip orders are placed every week.
Just because he said it, doesn't mean its true. Unless he shows some evidence, I don't believe him. Avalon is the last company I would ever invest in. OK, then you took your decision, time to move on. Stop worshipping him like a God. His company should be scrutinized for illegal practices. So, Yifu says he prices Batch2/Batch3 and chips not according to their manufacturing cost, but based on profitability calculated by estimated difficulty. And that's why he is offering a refund to Batch3 because the shipment has been delayed and the difficulty has risen significantly.
So if the prices are based on difficulty, why doesn't the chips price go down every day/week? He should keep reducing the prices for new chip orders based on the increasing difficulty!
You can say that legitimate businesses would have a refund policy, but not having a refund policy is not illegal (as long as the promised goods are delivered), and it is clear that the money is needed to actually manufacture the goods, so a refund policy would not be practical regardless of how legitimate the business is.
I know its not illegal to not refund the money. Thats why I said "any legitimate business" and not "any business". Since his product is in high demand, he can always sell it again. His decision not to refund pre-orders makes me smell scam. That's all I am saying
