BTW now I'm really upset, my butter on my popcorn got cold waiting for the video to start?

To be fair, they do have about 7 more hours before it's no longer Saturday on the west coast.  But yea, like I said, I will be pleasantly surprised if we see it before the clock runs out on that promise.  SSDD ;P

They have got to be the most non-saavy business people around. I'm sure they're very technical, but holy cow.

Since they actually send out emails with their updates I should probably leave this thread as there's nothing here of importance (Even though it does give me some joy to rub real life in your face a little)

I think we can all agree that would be a great idea!

Terrahash has already stated that refunds would be granted, yet they are fight all the Paypal claims. They have got to be the most non-saavy business people around. I'm sure they're very technical, but holy cow.

My claim hasn't went anywhere yet either, as expected. Love the pro-terrahashers that are simply hoping their support will make Terrahash throw them a cookie.

So this shows yet another example of a broken promise. Everyone go back and read the cloudhashing article, I'm starting to wonder if it was justified after all. I bashed them as I thought what they did to TH was lame, but some points in the article are very similar to what we are now experiencing. I'm sure in the end, it will come to light that they are just horrible at running a business and dealing with customers. How fortunate to be in an area with such High demand.

Reminds me to donate to the frequent posters running other projects I am a part of, as so many of them aren't doing this as a primary business and yet find time to provide updates.

I wish they were honoring refunds so we can get you guys out of this thread Sad
Well start a new thread the for all you azz kiss'n brown nosers who think their going to score with Terrahash,,,,the rest of serious experienced business minded people will stay here and bitch all we want  Wink

Edit: In other words, leave if you don't like it!

Silly Kid,

Some of us don't put all of our money into one venture and we definitely don't put money that we can't afford to lose.

Terrahash would equal 240GH out of the 8 TH I have on order with other companies. It just pains me to see children constantly complaining about every little detail of a startup company. If you don't like it then don't order from them again and just use paypal claims/credit card dispute to get your money back. It doesn't matter what happens between now and the delivery date they put out. Once that date comes then we can take a look at Terrahash as a company.

Stop being needy whiny children.

I come to this thread to see if Terrahash responds but all I get is crying, bitching, and moaning.

Since they actually send out emails with their updates I should probably leave this thread as there's nothing here of importance (Even though it does give me some joy to rub real life in your face a little)

Oh, since you put it like that, were sorry. we will never speak badly of TH or any start company that made commiments they didn't keep. For myself and the others, please do except out sincerest, most humble apologies. Sorry if we in any way offended you or made you feel uncomfortable in this thread. Please do forgive us oh mighty hasher one. Can we bring you anything while you count your T/hash's? a cold drink or a spot of tea perhaps?

Just thinking.... out loud (and i don't want sued so this is not in any way a fact or more then a thought).    What if these updates they promise then don't ever do are just stall tactics for paypal to release the money to them and you miss the time where paypal has it frozen?

Thats EXACTLY what i was thinking the other day when i tried to get a refund and they denied it.

In the long run i don't think it will be a problem even though they denied it, paypal will side with us.

Can someone ... who is more into this ... comment the picture ....

what do we see here, exactly?

For me ... it looks like they removed 12 chips and its still the same old board .... isn't ...it?

I see a lot wrong with this picture.
1. Power is applied reversed ( as some one else already pointed out) the Black wire is normal the ground wire.
2. The red wire in a PC is normally the +5 volt wire not 12 volt.
3. The wires don't even looked soldered just kind stuck in the holes.

How is the power applied backwards? Wouldn't the outermost 3 pins be the ground, and then innermost 3 pins be the 12V line? IIRC, a PCIe 6pin jack that would be attached to the board would look like this:

               12V _______
                               |
        GROUND _____   |

So today is the big reveal video of a working board? After spending 4+ hours reading through this.. I cannot wait to see. So many broken promises. Looks like another BFL to me.. yet I hope to be wrong.

The reason it looks reversed is because the black marks on the 2 large electrolytic capacitors is the negative side.
And it looks like the red wire would connect to the negative side.

On a 6-pin PCIe power connector, the negative wires are those nearer the plastic latch, so unless it's planned for the latch to face the bottom side of the board (dumb), the wires do appear to be connected backward.

With that said, they can use whatever wire colors they want for testing really.  There's no reason they couldn't have the black wire connected to positive.  It just looks dumb.

Just sent out an email. We have secured two additional early-may orders of Avalon ASIC chips. We now have 40,000 chips (all ordered before May 16) which are enough to process all the orders that we received during our pre-order opening. If we get the Avalon chips by the end of this month, we will ship out all the orders by Mid August.

On a separate note, the test board is hashing now. I will post pics/videos tomorrow. Have a great weekend!

Maybe the video is going to be posted "tomorrow" as in one business day.  So looking forward to see it on monday. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey guys. I wanted to weigh in on the discussion. I have 35 K16s on order with Terrahash. I live in the Bay Area and work in SF. I'm planning on stopping by TH/s office to say hello and see how things are going. I am planning on giving a full report after I make the visit. I'm not worried. I bought through Paypal, and am satisfied that I have buyer protection. I have not called Terrahash in the past week, but every time I have called (3 times so far) they have answered the phone and given me satisfactory answers. They have also replied to my emails in the past. I think they are making a good faith effort to fulfill their obligations to us. I am not a shill, and I understand everyone's frustration. I think that with what we have been through in the waiting game with BFL and Avalon everyone is on edge. I have 1.3 TH/s of miners on order with BFL, Bitmine, Avalon, Terrahash, and KNC. It's been depressing (at times VERY depressing) to think of how long we have had to wait for our pre-orders. I'm going to be patient. They are only 30 minutes away from where I work. I have a good feeling that we will get our miners as promised in August. I'm not necessarily expecting anything miraculous out of BFL or Avalon before then. Maybe we'll get those orders or maybe they'll be pushed back to September or October. As for KNC, who knows. Maybe we'll get the most awesome miners in the world to date, or maybe not. All of these purchases are a risk related investment. That's why I spread my funds between 5 companies. I still feel that Terrahash will very likely get our products to us before the other companies. Let them work and get our boards ready. I'll keep you guys posted regarding my upcoming visit.
