Ok guys, here's the deal. Given the current conditions (rising difficulty, Avalon uncertainty, etc.), a lot of people who ordered chips from Avalon are willing to resell their chips at cost price. This was not true a month ago or so, when we made a deal to acquire two additional orders for a premium (We never bought those orders, but only made a deal to pay a premium once they had chips in hand). We have decided to scrap those deals and instead buy chip orders from people who want to get out by selling their order for the price they paid. We have got 3 offers so far. We will re-open pre-orders after buying these.

We will keep you posted on this development.

Also, all these 3 offers are for May orders.

This only in hand clause was never told to anyone when company showed off orders and vouched they had them all.

 Ohhhh TH i don't miss the days of being a customer of yours.  And they are willing to re-open pre-orders! Want to take bets on if this batch of pre-orders does not include paypal option?

Hey, maybe a little misperception on the events for the already placed chip orders with TH vs. the additonal chips they were/are attmepting to aquire outside of those initial orders. The TH quote above is refering back to an even earlier post about a deal on I think, of 20k chips at a premium price, but they never persued it, as those chips had to be in hand for them to pay that premium price. ok, just wanted to share that much with ya buddy Im by no means defending Th's customer service and information qualities" lol or lack there of

These guys are scammers.

Look, let me just point out some minor details that are major red flags-- terrahash doesnt even have PSUs or cases ready to this day!
It is pretty clear cut what their intentions were.

And here we were worried about Avalon chips arriving...
Once we started asking for proof we start finding out the reason why he couldn't produce any evidence...

NOTHING is in place to fulfill our orders from what I have seen.

IMHO

1. Root cause of reopening pre-orders: not enough cash to buy a new life and retire
2. Terrahash game plan: It is clear for terrahash. Its now or never. Passports in place. Fund transfers to offshore complete.

If you haven't watched this video, then you should. Actually I found this very impressive. Yifu obviously knows his shit" this is one of the best question and answer sessions I have seen in recent memory. I wouldn't under estimate this guy in terms of his abilty.  This was just a little over 9 weeks ago. So pull up a chair, grab a beer or coffee or both  and listen to how he addresses things. Pretty darn smart for a young guy.  He has accomplished more than I first gave him credit for. Until now in my mind he was just the guy with the asic chips etc. Found this 25 minute video very interesting in many ways, in contrast to what has been being said in here. Guess if we dont like how he operates then we can always start our own asic machine building company  enjoy..meet mr. yifu lol

No, they are still waiting on parts. They did say that had placed more batch order to fill the pre-orders to date but then they just admitted that this isn't true. Neither TH, nor Yifu, nor any other ASIC supplier ever gives a straight answer to any of these questions - they always give some half-truth and then correct it later but with another half-truth. Either they are scammers or they fear that if they told the truth they would be out.

Then I think there are a few on these boards whose job it is to keep everyone looking forward to that eventual day when they arrive.

Hey ..... they did buy one DX large case lol. It just wasn't finished... and its cost was like it was made of silver.  

Now i have a idea how about TH puts a video together of the one k-16 they have in one case they had built for k-64's to show off their product development, then re-open pre-orders!

Will resold orders keep their order number? Also say that i buy an order for a K16 that is order number 2000 but i have a K16 in queue that is order number 1000, would i be able to add the other miner to my existing order?

Any orders already placed are still in queue, and adding new orders onto your existing queue would be very unlikely/unethical, as it would boot already paid orders up in the queue if you are before them.

Desoldering 16 old chips and resoldering them by hand is pretty much masochistic.

FYI this is from terrahash a few days ago:

Yea, already ordered the new part. We have ordered enough components to assemble upto 200,000 chips or 12,500 K16s. The only part in shortage right now is the PIC. But, we have enough of them for 40,000 chips and more are coming in around August 15. Heatsinks will be here next week. The cases were supposed to arrive today, but the shop says they are delayed by a couple days, which is fine for now. Power supplies and fans (for the cases) have been ordered as well. Cable harnesses for powering upto 40 K16s from a single power supply have been custom made, they will be here by next week too.

He definitely has issues with conspiracy and what not. It's sad there are so many deranged and saddened individuals like this on this forum and in bitcoin in general.


They have a K16 Hashing, it was physically seen by two people that visited and they showed a video.
