As of right now, the bitcoin price is expected to keep going up in the next 20 years. But can it last that long? I believe it's possible. But can't it crash at a random time? Like the price going down hard.
Well as long as there are people who's interested inside bitcoin it can last for that long. As long as government won't interfere the transactions in bitcoin there are no problems. And if crash its price I doubt that investors would pull out their investments immediately. But in the end of the day no one knows if bitcoin could maintain its condition. |

I think not. Supposed that there's a new technology that would make bitcoin users leave bitcoin and use that instead, people are still going to be hesitant at first. At the start, there are not much that trusted bitcoin and a lot of people have encountered it before but just ignored it. They thought it was a scam and there's no proof that it's actually legit. That's why the growth of the bitcoin community at first was really slow as compared to how it is today. My circle of friends are now using bitcoins because I taught them and other bitcoin users are experiencing the same thing. The technology will appear at a random time, yes. But people wouldn't just migrate there right away. It will take a while before that happens and that time might even be enough for bitcoin to launch an update and offer the same thing that the new technology offers. Hence, people have no more reason to migrate. |

Nothing is made to last forever. This is especialy tricky in the world of technologies that changes constantly, almost daily and new things appear all the time. Bitcoin could last a long time but it needs to adjust and successfuly solve the issues. But it's to be expected that even more developed cryptocurrencies appear in certain period of time.

I think at least another 100 years...
day by day Bitcoin is gaining its ground, people are going to be involved in this platform for making the profit, though it is facing a low rate of the price. but in the future, it will recover its actual price or more. So people will also be interested in becoming a part of this profitable sector. so it can be said that Bitcoin will last a long time...

In my opinion, I think bitcoin will last more than 30 years from now on if first of all, the bitcoin developer will continue improving and managing it, if internet connection is present and technologies, people will keep on participating in here, the increase of users, all of the country will accept it, and if the price value of btc will not go down.

Bitcoin will last for a long time, maybe for 100 years when some new technology comes only then we can ssd the end of the bitcoin, but even then there is a high chances that bitcoin will worth as something first of it kind. To many maybes in this thread, future can surprise us all, what if bitcoin last forever. Bitcoin maybe can adopt o nre technology. Nobody knows knows how long bitcoin will last, and its stupid from us to even try to predict something like that, my mind is going in several ways and every way have some logical end. If governments are legalizing bitcoin then they will try to keep it in life for a long time, I don't expect from them to change monetary rules every now and then. That goes in bitcoin favor.

It all depends on the concept of Demand and Supply. When there will be no demand, there will probably be no supply as well. As long as there are users of bitcoin in the world, i don't think it can crash down at all, as it is the demand, and what they (bitcoin users) get as a high price is the supply for their demand. So this tradition keeps going until the demand ends which i don't think is possible in this case.

No one know how long can bitcoin last even a prediction or premonition about a certain thing without an evidence is stated to be just a mere speculation. Bitcoin is just starting over a couple of years so we must not think furthermore that it will soon come to an end. Though it is really possible but still is quite far from now. The sudden pumps and dumps are normal phenomenon happening in the market and not a basis to start of that bitcoin cannot last longer. We must just think of it positively every now and then. |

Yeah ,It is to hard to speculate how long bitcoin could last but the main thing now is we can use it and it is now too long road to reach its maximum price still numerous companies only are done using bitcoins blockchain .For me as long as there is an internet there will be bitcoins and other cryptocurrency . |

The only problem I see is that the fiat money creators want to defend their fantasy money and the more bitcoin is accepted and the more bitcoin will contribute to make the fiat system laughable, I fear that governments will introduce laws to prohibit the use of it. They will probably claim that bitcoin is heavily used by criminals and illegal activities like btc-e.com and that they need to prohibit it.

Nothing last forever not even money they start using paper money in eary 12th or 13th century and if bitcoin replace it in near future didnt last forever. This is my point if bitcoin replace money then in 100-200 year something else will replace bitcoin. This is just something that government try to overtake but with no success and lets hope they wont if they do we are gone. For BTC-e so many rumors here and news but think that in the end they will end up ok. One of the biggest Europe exchanges have smaller btc price comparing to all but they are good. |

Most bitcoin holders said that the price of bitcoin will increase more (a good thing). If that happen, for sure many people will work to have bitcoin. So if people will do everything about bitcoin or to have bitcoin and keep wanting bitcoin then bitcoin will have more value and may can last for a very long time. Well, it is just my opinion guys. That is what I only tought. Thre is no right answer because nobody can answer it correctly by now. A lot of things can happen in the future. Let’s just all consider the possibilities that might happen. |

Probably you have changed the way you are banking but I am sure you must be still dealing based on your local currency, right ? The top layers may vary /change over time but the core things will persist. The survival of such things are based on how strong its concepts are. I do not find any reasons for bitcoins to get vanished in near future. In some extreme conditions anything may happen. But I am sure bitcoin will stay with us for ever as this new decentralization will make us benefited for at least next 200 years. After that someone may bring new things which maybe superior than decentralization. |

If many people tolerate, use, and seek for bitcoin, then bitcoin will last long. One thing does not become worthless or useless unless many people demand for it. Since the price is getting high for sure much people will seek for bitcoin meaning it extends the life of the bitcoin and I think it will last much more. Everyone of us here want bitcoin, and we are big number here, if there happen that are no people added here, still bitcoin will last for long because we are already many that want bitcoin. |
