How can you earn if you won't be selling your bitcoins. I'm not saying that sell it today but saying that don't ever sell your bitcoins means a lot to me. I think you're taking things a bit too serious here. People obviously should phrase their meaning in a better and more understandable way, but it should be clear what they try to say if you think logically.

I am more or less in the latter category ~ I am not planning to sell any of my coins (aside from the occasional trading that I do) if the price doesn't at least reach a certain price level.

Thanks for understanding me but that's how others are thinking that they have to never sell their bitcoins. There is a meaning that you will hold your bitcoin for certain time but you will not intend just to display and hold it. I think if you've been trading forna while, you'll have an idea when to press that panic button. That happened to me already and it proved too late when i sold my coins. So holding really isn't always the way to do it especially with altcoins. For btc, i think we can all rest assured that it will be good for long time holding.

I learned that i shouldnt cut my positions at a loss. Sometimes the altcoin marketcycles going crazy and dead coins getting pumped like hell.

And to make the real big money you should hold some fundamental good coins, that have a usecase in the future and not getting eaten by bitcoin in the future

It depends on you and you coin that you are holding.If the coin that you are holding is potential and has a good future, has a good team, has real life use then I would say just hold.holding alt coin is my favorite hobby.every year I try to hold some new ALT coin and I may able to earn good profit from them.So holding is also a good way for earning money.

I believe that holding altcoin too long is very risky as you never know when the price of altcoin will crash and how long it will take its price to recover back so its good to sell them off when you are making good profits and buy them back when price drops and when it comes to bitcoins I prefer to hold it for a long term to make higher profits in future.

I disagree to what you have say. Investing in altcoins is really profitable I am sure with that. I know investing is really risky but I think you can earn many profti because many altcoins are now profitable.

Well, both of you have a point. We all know that altcoins are profitable already and at the same time you can hold it for quite some time because it has the benefit of becoming a good coin for the reason that it also recovers the prices. About selling them, of course you have the choice to sell if it makes you comfortable with that method. Some investors prefer holding for they have enough or more than  enough of altcoins so there's nothing to worry for that and they are particularly open-minded and can take the risks in long terms.

At this point bitcoin value in the market was smoothly fail, so i recommend to hold for the mean time because i believe that after fall down of price. bitcoin was gonna raised up rapidly. I think decreasing of bitcoin value is part of marketing strategy of bitcoin to attract a lots of investors.

yes I think it's like that, don't be too panicked if the bitcoin price is experiencing a downturn, because once the bitcoin rise will directly uphill many-fold the price.

Indeed, there's nothing to be afraid of. If we saw that the bitcoin is in dump we should not panicked because panicking will never be have a good effect. If you're really in need of money then you should sell your bitcoin it really donest matter if the lrice price is low or high atleast you earn that from your hard work i disn't say to follow anything from the replies but. Holding is the best one when the leice increase it will increase your profit too you know that however if you do trades and investments maybe you will grow your bitcoin for more than your spectation

Hold tighter if the prices are down because it means they will go up once they start to recover. Just be patient. Never ever use your emotions to decide when trading. It will give you more losses rather than profits. Hold Hold Hold!
