I generally don't like forks splitting the community like that but IMO bitcoin cash is the right way to improve bitcoin and segwit is a dirty hack.
Bitcoin cash set a bad precedent for future bitcoin hard forks. If this altcoin survives and thrives, then many versions of bitcoin with bigger block sizes will be created. All else being equal, imagine how superior a 16mb bitcoin is compared to bitcoin cash. |

Umm... you realize that Bitcoin ABC's implementation (pretty much the leading client for the Bitcoin Cash chain) has a user-configurable maxblocksize, right? When appropriate, the user base will up the size of Bitcoin Cash. No new fork needed. |

Absolutely. The diff will jump for sure in the next few days, probably 3-400% or more. My hope is that BCC can close the gap and pass BTC in terms of blocks by that time. https://cash.coin.dance/blocksCurrently 760 blocks behind the main chain, and 24hrs ago we were almost double that gap. BTC block times are slowing down as well. That will help. http://fork.lol/pow/speedAs far as BCC price goes, I do think it will drift lower to around $500 for the next few days because of all the new hash rate coming online and miners will be selling coins. After the difficulty readjusts upwards the price will level off and trading volume come down a bit. Then we will start to climb the next rung of the ladder. This oscillation will continue for a month or two and then things will stabilize in an upward trajectory. HODL! You will find the difficulty increase will be nearer 500% now and this will make BCH highly unprofitable and you will then see the temporary rise in hashing power hop back over to BTC You may also see some of the users that just joined for the quick rewards sellout for BTC if they have not already which will be another reason for the price being driven down |

I see absolutely no benefit to segwit at all, and not even one person has come forward to tell us , we are wrong and the reasons why we should embrace segwit over bitcoin cash

I'm in the tank circuit camp, let's get BTC and BCC/BCH into resonance and we can ride the tank currents  all the way to the moon baby!  *glad I'm not the only one who sees Binance, Dash, and Bitmain leading the efforts for the upcoming event in China, lots of heavy hitters there. Stay tuned! I'm excellent at board layout, FIFO, six sigma, Toyta Production system, Bosch Production System, Continuous Improvement, Lean manufacturing, reverse engineering etc etc. Anyone with IC design expertise for creating an ASIC to compete with BM chips? I think the Antminers can be improved on by a lot, form factor, thermal control, etc... cost reduction etc.. |
