This is maddness!!!!!! BCH will take over BTC tonite! its gonna happen and BTC Will crash so hard back to $400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!! ITs happening!!!

If BCH goes to $3000, and BTC drops to $400 ... overnight ... anyone with BCH currently held offline will give precisely zero fucks as they hold an equal amount of both. Assuming they haven't fucked it all up by messing around with keys without knowing what they're doing. In broad terms relating solely to BTC vs BCH value.

But, as someone mentioned in another thread, most of the crypto market is traded against BTC. There are no BCH/<alts> trading pairs at the moment. So if BTC crashes, so does almost the entire alts market by default. Unless ALL the exchanges switch to BCH/<alts> pairs overnight.

I can't see it personally.

But I can see some market turmoil if it does start to take value from BTC. Which it hasn't really done. So far.

We (creators of DTMF.io) have put together a simple process for getting access to the BCH associated with your Bitcoin private keys.

It's now live at https://www.coinfork.io/

Basically, we sweep your wallet on both blockchains, and transfer both your BTC and BCH associated with the wallet to addresses of your choice. There is a small (0.5%) fee associated, to cover costs of operating the service. We also pass on the transaction fee on both blockchains (to be clear, we pass on the recommended transaction fee from Bitcoin Core for BTC from Bitcoin ABC for BCH).

After the sweep+transfer (which we aim to complete within one hour, but usually it takes less time), there are no funds associated with the private key you sent us any more on either blockchain, because they have all been transferred to the addresses you provided.

DO NOT USE ANY SUCH SERVICE. LIKELY SCAM!

And you still won't be able to deposit the BCH on an exchange to sell. Assuming you do actually get it.

(Just to add ..... if you do decide to take the risk in trying this, FFS make sure you move the existing BTC out of the wallet before you gamble sending a private key to them .... aka - send them keys to wallet with ZERO BTC in it. Then you "only" risk losing the BCH element.)

anyone wanting to buy my BCH at bittrex last rate, PM me. Available: 75 BCH

Nice try why not trade it back and forth like the rest to make it look more valuable

Soon big exchanges like Kraken and some more than we will see real party begin. I bought some coins at low and now going to take profit at bittrex.

Definitely not more of a joke than the last weeks when basically all that was stated was "I am gonna dump that shit so hard!" or "Price will be below 1$ i guarantee you!"

Both of which could still happen if/when BCH deposits open up.  Wink

Its still to be seen I have all mine in a offline wallet still unable to get into any exchange one because none will allow direct deposits and secondly it would take so long to get trustworthy confirmations

exchanges shouldn't have made trading live until it had a blockchain that actually worked. they're making themselves look like assholes.

With all the various comments, this is the most funny of all that people will just come and trust their jealously guided private keys to you? And not your service recommended by the official site? Even from various reputable sources its suggested that to import, the old wallet should be clean but you are saying we should just import. This is meant for the gullible ones to harness and come back then create a scam accusation thread.

Good time to sell probably: 113.03% 24h change, $593. I still have my BCC (only have very little unfortunately) but I'm trying to increase my BTC holdings  Cool BTC is king.

Bitcoin cash to 3$!!!!

Corrected for you

not looking like that....just broke 0.22 at bittrex! $600!!!!!

I hope they do open deposits soon (and the network can actually process them .... lol) so I can offload the small amount I hold while these crazy prices are around.

i wish i had my bcc on bittrex

had it on bitfinex, got scammed 15% and the price is low too so not dumping there

Same here Bitfinex to 15% for what ever reason...

I hope that this damn BCH gets moving stuck on a transaction with current speed will take ages to complete. Is there a way on Electrum to cancel unconfirmed transactions?

I just lost my unique BCH. I used Electrum, after the fork i sended my BTC to Bittrex, i download the Electrom Cash, used my private keys and saw my BCH, everything is ok, until after a little time Electrom Cash sended my BCH to the same BTC Bittrex address.

So is a lost right?

Sad

In network settings make sure you are on the correct fork.

I love you!

I thought Electron Cash was just for Bitcoin Cash but some way the network was changed.

Solved

I had the same issue, rather misleading. Glad you got sorted

before the fork,i transfer my bitcoin from wallet address A to B,and i tranfer it back from B to A after fork,so the private key i should use to claim BCC is the priv key of B right?

and,is it safe to using electron-cash for claiming BCC?

I wrote this guide yesterday:

1-    Wait until after the fork when a few BCH (bitcoin cash) blocks have been mined. There is no hurry, you can wait a day, a week, etc. Copy the BTC private key where you have your BTC funds.

2-    Move all your bitcoin BTC to a new wallet with a new private key. BCH has replay protection, so you will be able
to move your BTC without moving your BCH.

3-    Wait until your Bitcoin BTC is confirmed in the new wallet. Be sure to complete steps 1-3 before moving to step 4.

4-    Install a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallet and enter the private keys of the original wallet (the wallet you just moved
your Bitcoin BTC out of). To be maximally safe, the BCH wallet should be installed on a different machine than the one
that has your new Bitcoin BTC wallet on it. You can find a list of BCH wallets on the Bitcoin Cash website.

5-    This step isn’t necessary, but as a final step you may want to move your BCH to a new BCH wallet with a new private key, just to help ensure you don’t mistake your BCH wallet address for the BTC address it used to be.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

wow so many new comments in this thread at a rate I've rarely seen. Maybe I just hold the BCH I have. Is $1000/BCH imminent? But where can we deposit our BCH? Bittrex deposits are disabled, right?
