The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Worst come to worst - you fork POW to POS/POI/whatever, and don't rely on miners anymore at all, that's true for both, all pow coins really. Miners are here to protect network, not to dictate how much whatever-coin is worth or whether it's viable or not.

The only thing as a coin developer you should care about - are your customers. Your reputation is secondary however, but ideally you should be clear, honest and accountable.

you are being harsh, that coin replaced POW with POE - proof of exchange, as it only exist on a certain exchanges, but I expect every exchange to fork it even further as there are no transactions between them, such a green coin!

.:31211457:. 100 dollars in one place talking - Dudes, hooray, Bitcoin against us just one, but we are growing in numbers!

I am confuse. My understanding is one can only spend Either BTC or BCC/BCH and NOT Both, as the fork didn't increase the total value of my coin holdings. But the value of both coins are difference (Eg: 2k vs 0.7k). If I spend the lower value BCC/BCH, aren't the extra value in the higher price BTC got burnt?

damm, i have no idea what is ging on...

lol .... join the club!  Grin

..why would it be dead?

Because the network doesn't have enough hashing power (no miners, inherited high difficulty) to transact. A dead network is no use to anyone.

No.

You hold two coins now.

Each has their own value. Just that the value of the new one seems absurdly high at the moment.

Guys. Electrum cash is a shit wallet. Yesterday after hours of pain trying to get my bcc i finally got my balance. But today same wallet shows 0 bcc. If i check my address on bitcoin cash explorer it shows positive balance.
Electrum cash shows transactions from main bitcoin network. If i check those tx on bcash explorer - they doesnt exist.

It is hard to install bcc wallet on different machine while taking in account it need 120gb for chain.
What wallet should i use ? I am really sick now of trying get my bcc.

As already stated, change the fork in network settings. Worked fine for me and someone above also

THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR. GIVE ME your btc address , after exchange i will donate to you

Then why everyone is pumping this bcc to moon. Why can’t they do it to bitcore. I t looks like the value off personal feelings are better than the technologies. What is the point of having advance block chains?

Probably just moved hashing back to BTC where it worked and earned then usable coins instead of the phantom coins that no one can use

The only ones pumping it are the chinese probably ViaBTC so they dont look as much of a fool when it fails or so they can cash out before admitting defeat
