Hello admin i'm new here good luck with your project !! please give me a whitepaper if you have, and tell me what is the max supply for YAC ? best regards See http://yacoin.org/tech.php, supply now is ~120903015.484091 YAC, with a slow inflation rate. Beave162 can speak more to the point on max supply, inflation rate, burn of tx fees, etc. Ron

Hi Guys,
Lost a drive with some wallets on. Unfortunately i only have an old backup of this coin. Wallet is v0.4.4.0-g32a928e-yac-wm, and i'm on block 612177,Fri 15. Jan 23:29:27 2016 with 1 peer "addr" : "46.4.79.187:7688", it's been stuck on this block for over 8 hours now.
So what i'd like to now if possible... Is this this the latest "official" wallet Does anyone have anymore peers i can use please.
Thanks J

You might check to see if you have any connections, i.e. getconnectioncount, getpeerinfo, etc. You could try 'addnode =' with these, that all worked at one time or another, for me: 199.204.38.210 193.77.45.161 188.230.132.226 193.136.98.184 78.47.60.141 91.7.87.214 98.211.140.215 112.251.116.248 66.172.10.183 24.76.98.253 176.93.216.37 31.204.100.45 150.254.109.73 91.93.209.222 37.33.213.194 37.192.135.104 188.32.251.251 151.55.24.212 47.187.70.10 174.56.85.95 5.9.48.68 50.150.44.120 203.109.84.238 71.113.159.155 24.98.245.82 73.137.238.30 37.140.42.9 80.141.35.187 99.99.253.228 77.243.221.153 Ron

Hello, Doing help suggests sendfrom or sendtoaddress. Now help sendfrom gives: sendfrom <fromaccount> <toyacoinaddress> <amount> [minconf=1] [comment] [comment -to] <amount> is a real and is rounded to the nearest 0.0001 and help sendtoaddress says: sendtoaddress <yacoinaddress> <amount> [comment] [comment-to] <amount> is a real and is rounded to the nearest 0.0001 how to decrypt is not known by me? Running the Qt version allows one to decrypt off of a menu item. Maybe it will ask for the decryption 'passphrase' during the command, or perhaps it just does it for you? Hope this helps... Ron

Yeah thanks, too tired last night to check obvious. I needed to use a fresh non-qt wallet to sync with the network, the old wallet on an old drive never seemed to make it, continually resetting to near zero blocks etc. So i copied over the old wallet.dat. Totally forgot it was encrypted! If anyone else needs to use the command : ./yacoind walletpassphrase "your pass phrase" 180 ./yacoind sendtoaddress <amount>
The double quotes were necessary The command unlocks the wallet for 180 seconds in this example.

but it's working fine with yac 0.4.4, any clues? The files for YAC 0.4.8 on the github repo are incomplete at the moment. Expect an update within the week. YACoin is going through fundamental, not cosmetic, changes to include improvements to the 'inner-workings' of the code. In the meantime, yes, the 0.4.4 release works fine*.

Reminder: YAC stands for Your Alternative Currency. There was no ICO. Money was not taken from investors with an expectation of return. Developers are not compensated directly (with the exception of user-funded bounties, which are still outstanding). YACoin was the most innovative coin at its inception in 2013. That legacy will continue into the future. If you want to invest now and watch your investment grow significantly, contribute to the development fund, run a node and mine with your CPU, lobby exchanges to support it, contribute to the website (it could use a new, functioning paper wallet feature https://github.com/yacoin/yacoin.org). Right now, YACoin: 1) Is the ONLY cryptocurrency on the NFactor 19 Scrypt-ChaCha algorithm. 2) Is likely the only cryptocurrency that alternates from PoS block to PoW block consistently. 3) Has one of the lowest current annualized inflation rates among other non-premined cryptocurrencies. Very good coins.

A change is certainly in order, but I don't think abandoning the current blockchain would be the best move. The network is fragile and this susceptible to attack. It's very peculiar what is happening now. Anyone have insight?
