I think one problem any blockchain technology will have is c (the universal speed limit).
If we are to have a digital asset that is as valuable on earth as it is on mars, then we will need a method of verification that is not constricted by the speed of light in a vacuum.

Will humanity still exist after 100 years? Bitcoin might still exist but had evolved significantly. New technologies will advance Bitcoin unless the government entities starts touching it.

Nobody can predict what will be even tomorrow. Will humans still exist on Earth after 100 years? The question is philosophic. Maybe there will be another, more perfect system. Or maybe life changes so radical that nobody will care about it.

Nobody predicts future but the strong foundation of bitcoin today maybe it will survive in after 100 years. Who knows? Nobody. Even how strong it is but when there is something that bitcoin do to make it fall it falls. Unless bitcoin become stable and still good in the future I think it will survive in after 100 years. Well there is no good predictor in this kind of topic or situation. Well bitcoin will be. |

How are you saying that bitcoin might not survive? It is not possible that bitcoin will not survive as now the time of bitcoin as been started and the future will bring the establishment of bitcoin and it will become a world wide currency for global businesses. As it is because of bitcoin people are attracted to all other currencies and bitcoin is getting the success that is why people are having believe on other coins. |

I think it is possible now that it becomes more famous and in demand. It also has good reputation which makes other people have trust on bitcoin.It is also possible that Bitcoin not survive 100 years because you cant if there is other crypto currency that occur in the following years that make Bitcoin much less use. But lets no think that there is no other digital currency that will blossom or become famous on the upcoming years . |

100 years is a very long time, we will not be able to see it ourselves whether Bitcoin is still around

Yes, i think it will survive for a long time because a lot people are now considering it as their main currency. Also it ca be used as an alternative mode of payment. But who knows what will happen after 100 years...  |

why not? the paper money system is still alive after several centuries. my own analysis says bitcoin will be live for a long time as the pioneer or decentralized digital currency.

I think 100 years is a long and hard time to guess, but I guess bitcoin will not last for 100 years, this is because there is better coin than bitcoin so everyone leaves bitcoin, with this fact then we should keep abreast of bitcoin development . |

I want to say that i love bitcoin and i believe that bitcoin will survive as long as that we can not imagine.
It will pass just 100 years.
But one thing make me worry, if government forbide us to use bitcoin. If goverment make new law this will the end of bitcoin.

I think bitcoin will lead the world of currencies forever, may be up the end of the world. Because the coming era is of digital currency and for me bitcoin is the number one choice. One other thing about bitcoin survival is that the price of one bitcoin was just a few hundred US dollars in 2009 and now in 2017 its price is round about 5000 US dollars. Why because of the trust of the people.

Yah for me, i really think so . Because bit oi is do popular right now here in our country, and i know same as well as your country too. So i think bitcoin will survive after 100 years. Just continue spreading about the bitcoin and it will survive forever.

100 years and after... I don't know if every one of us still alive and still kicking here in this forum. So, I'll just share you the views of the world's richest man, Bill Gates, " Nothing Can Stop Bitcoin". yes that's right, 100 years is not a short time and not necessarily our life will be up to 100 years. everything is just a prediction. it could be bitcoin lasting up to 100 years, but either for its position, because the technology is getting more sophisticated, and maybe there will be the next coin that can replace the position of bitcoin. |

humanity is so intelligent..remember when is the time that the earth starts discovers high technology? i think last world war 2 the humanity is not yet discovers high tech communications and not to ellaborate it all..talking about bitcoins future i think it will survive as long as the security and its system will always updated and time comes that the whole world will use one currency and i believe that is the bitcoin., as humanity enters the new phase of digital era that no more physical money all transaction is powered by digital system the computer. |
