Pretty interesting idea perhaps, Im just wondering if something like this would actually be successful in a year or so. Anyway to prove this? Or is the burden of research on me? Thanks!

I don't know of anyone doing this specific plan that Paragon is doing. I do know that the cannabis industry on the west of the U.S. is huge though, and I think it would benefit a lot from this.

What is the point to make sells in cash and not on the PRG tokens?

PRG tokens got no value then.

paragon project and token is valuable and whenever u want to cashback u can also do on exchanges to sell your tokens. but i suggest you don't sell your tokens quick. you must hold your tokens.

I'm a cannabis enthusiast myself. But why does paragon need to raise so much capital?

So they plan start building big research centres? This is very costly indeed, but what is the purpose?

I haven't read the white paper yet, busy times.

Its actually necessary these days, it is also one of the plus points which investors and supporters see, whether the team is capable of putting their money into marketing of the product and ICO or not. If they are not putting enough money then it might be a scam in the long run. I think the mentality has to be changed.
Like the way you think! Indeed all the money they invest in advertisement is because they are here for the long run! I'm very curious how the crowdsale will go, I will participate when the minimum is 1$ instead of 10000$ Smiley
I hope ICO will reach that phase and wont end with hard cap before. It would be a real pity if "normal people" wont be able to participate since not everyone has 10K$ lying around.

I think there is a blocked amount of coins for crowd sale, isn't it? So everyone should have a chance to buy an amount they are able to afford. Correct me if I am wrong.

So that some whale wont buy them and block the whole venture with his capitalism. If only one person holds most of the coins then it will be too hard for the team and dev to continue.

I'm a cannabis enthusiast myself. But why does paragon need to raise so much capital?

Because the concept is illegal in many countries and they will need more money to get into them.

It's a crime that such a nice herb like cannabis is criminalized from our "lovely" government. But it's time for a change I see great possibilities for this project.

And thus supporting project like this is nice example how to show people that there is nothing wrong to go a bit high  Cool

It's not like people haven't been doing it since the dawn of time. Legitimacy is vital for this project to grow, hope Paragon will go in that direction.

how do you plan to compete with solid and developed projects like TKS?

Tokes is a weed coin, they want to people to be able to buy pot with it, paragon is a totally different idea.

Additionaly, PARAGON wisely utilize blockchain technology that incorporates Cannabis variety, from seed to harvest, patient data, doctors prescription and dispensary data, all of which are within the blockchain offered by PARAGON's platform to revolutionize the entire Cannabis Industry.

Researches says that alcohol and smoking is waaaay more harmful than cannabis, and cannabis even have some health benefits.

So why is cannabis illegal in most of the world?

Because there are big smoke and alcohol companies, but none for cannabis.

So give them one!

Simple, Alchohol, and smoke does not damage your brain, nothing at all, they destroy your lungs and liver, which can kill you pretty fast, cannabis does not do that, BUT, is addictive and damage the brain, in small doses, it does not damage your lungs or liver, or stomach, or not much of your body; that is what got it to be illegal, and as a result, be sold illegally at a high price, increasing crime, so, , cannabis and different drugs got connected to crime, and as a result, they got demonize; this stigma must be ended for this to be stopped, so many tried, some failed, some success to a degree, but in general it's a divided mindset, drugs in general got bad reputation, and only with good projects, like PARAGON, can help change this reality.

BANG!  I think this should be the selling point!  You have convinced me mister! Cheesy

And yes, cannabis has been supressed since Rockefellers took over the "medicine industry" as we know it today.

I might take a closer look at the white paper and consider investing a little seed.

There have been no scientific reseachs completed up to date proving that. In fact you'll find studies in both directions.

You can't say that alcohol and tobacco are more harmful - somehow you'll stating that cannabis is healthy. It has healthy uses but smoking 5 joints a day will probably kill you faster than tobacco - or render your brain useless.

The three are harmful substances that should be limited to certain uses. Well, except tobacco - tobacco is not good for anything except if your name's Philip Morris.

Ever heard of alcohol intoxication aka drunk? The Hoff wasn't just rolling on the floor because of his liver. It's the effect of alcohol on the brain after it overwhelmed the liver. And there are nice long term effects:

As for smoke, ever heard of nicotine addiction?

And that's beside the release of tiny particles from burning plant-based material, which turn into tiny particles, small enough to pass through the lungs into the bloodstream to end up in one's brain where it affects one's intelligence. In that respect both cannabis and tobacco smoke are harmful to the brain, but it has been speculated the THC in cannabis counteracts some of the effects. Yet I think it would be wiser to remove the smoking part of cannabis ingestion.

For the medical use of cannabis there are already capsules or oil pills available, so you have the benefits of cannabis but not the ugly side effects of smoking.

In counties where is legal to sell cannabis, does the seller have to provide you with all the information about the product? For example in the Netherlands coffee shops can sell you weed but they cant buy it or grow it, so for sure they cannot provide you with all the info about the background.
So how will Paragon deal with this issue? Where will they get all the information's? I know about plant tracking software, but if you cant grow marijuana legally, how will you be able to monitor it?

Can't believe that in this thread the major discussion is whether or not Cannabis should be legal or is harmfull. Thought young people who spend time here understood that Cannabis is harmless.

I would like more discussion about the actual project, how the tokens are used, etc. Though i like the project it is still a bit hard for me to visualize. I'm hoping the team can offer some concrete more concrete examples.  Because i do believe this sector really offers good opportunities and we need crypto/blockchain in here for something else then just tokens to buy weed (like other Cannabis tokens are)

Yeah, I think I agree we're ready to move on to another subject Grin

So what about those ParagonCoins (PRG)? What do they bring to the table, why are they necessary and what value do they have?

I'm not so convinced about this use-case:

Really, pay-to-vote? I'm used to Reddit's free voting so maybe I'm out of the loop. Guess I'll have to check out what drives people to pay to vote on Steemit.
