Bitcoin can be a gamble for some people.

I treat Bitcoin as a hobby and at the same time as a job. Thanks to that, I love what I do and do not have to bother with the related operations. Bitcoin is not gambling, it is not just addiction it is a way of earning money.

Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

I agree with this. Money is not gambling. It is when you deliberately try to make money from the price increase that is gambling. Though the chances of getting a profit from the margin is high. It is the same in stick markets. Though the difference between gambling and investing in stocks and bitcoin is that the latter is more of an educated guess than a pure gamble.

Kinda laughed when you said you invest time. As with any sort of gambling, you're also investing time. So beyond that remark which makes no sense, I do agree that it's not gambling. However, if you go about buying/selling coins without any research whatsoever, whether it be technical or fundamentals, that gambling. Binary trading, is gambling, as there's no strategy behind it. I've never called one of my trades a 'gamble'. I trade on instinct a lot, but have many factors that backup the reason behind the trade. I come from the stock market, and ported my skills over from there.

Bitcoin is not gambling, bitcoin can be earned through gambling. But it is not recommended especially to those people who are new in bitcoin because it is very risky and you need to have at least a skill in gambling and mostly luck. Although bitcoin is about taking risks like gambling, it is different from each other. Not all the time you will take risk in order to earn bitcoin because there are some ways to earn bitcoin that you will just use your knowledge and skills about it.

In few years ago, almost the activity of Bitcoin in my country were used for gambling. Honestly, at first time I know Bitcoin, I just thought it is a currency for gambling and can avoid the track from police. But I was wrong, It is a great invention and helped me change my life. If someone think Bitcoin is gambling I think they don't know what Bitcoin really is. Maybe they only know some risky way to earn money from Bitcoin such as invest in HYIP system, Dice or Bet. Don't waste your time to show them what is the real about Bitcoin cause they will never understand it . That's true. As long as bitcoin do nothing bad to us then we don't have to defend or explain anything about bitcoin if they think it is a bad thing such as gambling. I invested only my time here, but i can't say I wasted it because somehow i earned something valuable. But i hope time will come, those people will change their minds toward bitcoin.

Yes, I agree with you bitcoin is not gambling. I think bitcoin is a digital coin in online. People like to buy and sell in the market as well as in the market with the same bitcoin can be bought online.

for sure it is not gambling. but people liken it to gambling because everything is by chance. you invest your money into it with 50/50 guarantee you are going to gain because of its price volatility. it is like putting your money into the hand of fate which has no surety it is going to succeed just like gambling.

People are afraid about bitcoin volatility, its normal because the volatility is very extreeme. Most of bitcoin investirs are speculators who trying to get profit from it's volatility. For me bitcoin is bot gambling, its new way of investment.

So far never heard someone said bitcoin is gambling. Maybe we can say bitcoin is gambling but not literally as it is. Some people interprets investment as gambling but the right term is risky.
