Although, there are some articles that i have read regarding criminals cannot hide behind bitcoins, still, there are difficulties tracing transactions using cryptocurrencies. That is why law enforcement agencies should have a to change their procedures to pursue criminals who make use of the latest technology to commit crimes. Let the law find a way to evolve to address new tech challenges. There is no reason to expect that law enforcement won’t be able to get a handle on this new cybercrime.

I agree that bitcoin can be a great use for crimes because of the privacy it offers. It gave one an opportunity to deal and transact without it passing through the government services. Transactions can be done directly so you can buy drugs and guns in private. Though that doesn't mean bitcoin is a bad thing it also helps if only used in nice way.

Perhaps the authorities are pointing out to the incidents in which the advantages of Bitcoin played a part in the crime. The best example for this is the Wannacry attack. The hackers were demanding payments in Bitcoin, as it is a digital currency which is quite difficult to track. There has been even reports of kidnapping of individuals and the hostage takers demanding payments in BTC.

I've read about bitcoin being used in crimes about quite long time ago. It's not something new, and it's not something that we can control.
Bad people will do anything, even if they don't use bitcoin, they still can use other ways. It's not bitcoin fault at all, although it makes bitcoin image becomes bad.
Moreover it'll be hard to track if we use bitcoin, that's why the criminals use bitcoin.

Do you think paper currency is not used by criminals? Bitcoin is the future currency and it would replace paper currency soon, however, money is required for all things whether it is good or bad and bitcoin as a cryptocurrency also would serve the purpose.
