First of all there is no "NOW"  in bitcoin usage in illegal activities.
Also there are several levels of illegality so to speak since , you can speak of illegality when people do not pay taxes from their bounty campaigns also.
Second " with complete anonymity " bitcoin does not  give you complete anonymity.
There always be some DarkSide of any currency. I think that worst thing about BTC and alt-coin use is that nations like NorthKorea can use them to bypass International sanctions.
