Wherever there's any currency or even services involved, there's going to be crime. There's crime involving cash, ATMs, credit/debit cards, scams, and even some other cryptocurrencies. There are so many people that think bad about bitcoin because of it, but BTC is just another currency. Maybe in the future people will realize that it is not "bad" by itself, but it's the people who use it that make its reputation. Nowdays it's being used by exchanges and big companies, and also commerce is now accepting it as a payment option, such as amazon. All this will increase the confidence and use of the coin. And also it's value

USD is the biggest currency used for illegal stuff. Online and offline. By a huge margin. Should we ban the USD? I'd argue that for governmental agencies it's easier to track bitcoin transaction than cash.

It is true that bitcoin can be used as a tool, an intermediary of people who want to commit a crime as you describe, but this is a technological invention, we should appreciate all this. and I think crime is not just in the online world / internet, in the real world well as many other crimes that might be in a more cruel way. Crime has long been happening even before the internet, let the law enforcement officers who will seek a solution and never think as if this crime arises because there is bitcoin.

bitcoin is always used by criminals because it is an anonymus systemand can not be traced, if law inforcements can trace it, they can not do anything about except for banning, so bitcoin is criminals' favorite whenever they use it for illegal activities.

Criminals are using it already, the biggest organization of criminals are ISIS. that is how they are funded through Bitcoin because digital currency is very hard to trace specially if you're using many network transfer and end up all to the same recipient. They can buy anything without regulations.
It's still easier to trace than cash. Easier to send and carry around but still traceable. I don't think we should really care about it. Everything is being used by criminals starting from knives and ending with cars. Should we stop using those things because of it?

For me yes, bitcoin can now use in crimes. Bitcoin is traceable and how transact it, but it’s difficult to know how it is. The identity of the person using bitcoin is so limited. That why it’s so difficult to find the person, that are using bitcoin to buy something illegal. Now some countries are banning bitcoin because they can’t identify the person who is doing illegal. Bitcoins has regained its strong value, As of this posting, the value per 1 bitcoin is exactly 4786.59 US Dollar.   Soon we will see more ways people can squeeze the most out of bitcoins.   Since the advent of the internet to be profit oriented in the 90's, no one would possibly have imagined that the Internet would breed Facebook, Google, Uber, online streaming, etc. This is where we are with the Blockchain now. There exists a whole world of opportunities out there.

These opportunities have the unrighteous users of this cryptocurrencies to also used its advantage. We cannot deny for a fact that cyber crimes have been committed since the birth of the internet.  Once, stealing was done with having guns, now, robbers can easily hack bank accounts or counterfeit credit cards to their advantage.  Sooner, cryptocurrencies can be used to pay crimes such as services for creating counterfeit birth certificates and this is not far from happening.  Actually, the US has already cases on this matter.

Another is the crime of buying illegal-drug emporium that used Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, politicians and policymakers took notice. Criminals, it turns out, really like bitcoins, which can be exchanged for nefarious purposes on the "Dark Web," with complete anonymity and, it seems, impunity.

Although, there are some articles that i have read regarding criminals cannot hide behind bitcoins, still, there are difficulties tracing transactions using cryptocurrencies. That is why law enforcement agencies should have a to change their procedures to pursue criminals who make use of the latest technology to commit crimes. Let the law find a way to evolve to address new tech challenges. There is no reason to expect that law enforcement won’t be able to get a handle on this new cybercrime.
Not now Bitcoin Basically used in Deep/Dark net which most things are illegal so that strongly say Bitcoin used in Crimes

We can not really avoid such situations especially Bitcoins is also a form of money on the internet. So what we can do is to report it but to whom? The Bitcoins are decentralized and nothing plays them if not all of us.

New technologies have always been used primarily by criminals and the military. Then they already entered the everyday life of ordinary citizens. Also, criminals are always one step ahead of law enforcement agencies in the ways of committing crimes. Therefore, it is not surprising that relatively anonymous crypto currency is used for criminal purposes. It is the task of law enforcement bodies to find ways to uncover them. We should not give too much attention to this issue.

Why do you think Bitcoin can develop so far if it's completely legal? I think everything always has its downside, and Bitcoin, too, has the money from the illegal activities that drive Bitcoin's development and everything is secure so this is the ideal place for Illegal transactions occur. Because of this, I always worry about the future of Bitcoin

Since bitcoin was an open source, it is not astonishing that Bitcoin was being used if the person is a bad person were they are abusing the usage of bitcoin. But if the individuals are not doing any illegal activities bticoin will be abuse of course.

it doesnt matter who mined it, weather it be some middle school student that just discovered bitcoin, a major pool, or yourself. regardless of who actually finds the block, your transaction's hash is still public on the blockchain for everyone to see, as well as the source and destination addresses of the funds. don't know where you got that idea though.

excuse to try to criminalize bitcoin, like other currency is not being used as criminal tools
exactly. i bring this point up every time someone tries to say 'bitcoin is used by criminals,' which isnt untrue, but always fails to examine the fact that just about anything of value can be used in a trade, and therefore, in a criminal trade. gold, dollars, euros, weapons, etc, can all be used in part of a trade.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.
