Bitcoin was , is and will be used for illegal pourpuses their entire life. You havent heard about the now sized Silk Road black market ? Were you was able to purchase drugs, hire assasins and another bunch of things like buying guns, slaves etc...
same goes with every other currencies, humans will always find a way to use their resources to something negative. Whether it be bitcoin or other form of currency throughout the history of mankind humans have been doing thing out of greed or power. Silk road and blackmarket flourished online because it is hard to be traced and that was when bitcoin get caught up on its endless loop. |

Bitcoin is the form of currency and money can be used for everything it is not only attached with the crime it is money if a person is criminal they will use this for crime while the businessman will use this for other good purposes. The aim of bitcoin is to use this for online payments across the boarders and for many other transactions as well. If I say I am using this for ordering online pizza for family etc etc.

if I think so, everyone must have their own thoughts. if the person holding the bitcoin is a criminal, then bitcoin will be used for criminal. if the person holds bitcoin, the possibility of bitcoin will be bad among the community. different if the bitcoin holds the bitcoin. then bitcoin will be good. |

Criminals are using it already, the biggest organization of criminals are ISIS. that is how they are funded through Bitcoin because digital currency is very hard to trace specially if you're using many network transfer and end up all to the same recipient. They can buy anything without regulations.

There is no clear evidence of use of bitcoin by criminals. But we can guess the case is otherwise. The only thing i have heard is bitcoin transactions can be traced even to north korea.  |

Today I have read news about a hack and a scam. I don't know if Bitcoin was involved, but the hack was about $30 million worth of USD Tethers and the scam involved an ICO called Confido, leaving investors with worthless tokens after raising over $300,000.

We all knew that bitcoin is an open source to anyone where each individuals are free to decide of were they like to use it. So if the users is corrupt people He can use bitcoin in any form of illegal transaction in terms of giving payment because it is anonymous or pseudonymous.

People will always find ways to launder money, what im worried about is the next major attack that is discovered to be financed by using the anonymous nature of bitcoin. One of those and this house of cards will come tumbling down overnight, with overzealous politicians creating all types of laws soon to follow....at least that is how it will play out in the US, guaranteed.
I think it’s not good if someone is using bitcoin for crime or for any other bad things because bitcoin is here to help us if you study bitcoin you will learn such a good things about bitcoin so I think we need to use bitcoin for good things such as in charity or donate bitcoin to any organization which are going to help people. |

Crimes are everywhere, it happen that they use bitcoin as a tool to create a illegal activities, because of bitcoin anonymity they use to hide their illegal transaction. Also they use it to protect their true identity and to they cannot be trace by law enforcers. So that is the primary disadvantges of bitcoin and many more. |

I guess my point is it depends on how you use
a particular service. Just because it is used in
crimes or money laundering doesn't mean it
should not be used.
But instead we should place checks on it or
further strengthen it to minimize the crimes.

However, spending or selling Bitcoin so difficult. You can see there are many exchanges used KYC verify, block account with suspicious activity ... to protect ecosystem of cryptocurrency and avoid money laundering in cryptocurrency. BTC-e was the best place for UG, but look at know, there is no exchange accept criminal and they need to exchange directly. |

Many say that bitcoin can be used for crime but I think one day bitcoin can create a program that can track the block path to address the identity of the owner of a bitcoin wallet, if the government uses a crime scenario to prevent others from using bitcoin. |

I think it can also be used as a crime.
Because today bitcoin has not been recognized by the government, it can not be controlled, criminals can use fraudulent bitcoin in their purchases

I've been hearing about crimes where Bitcoin was being used lately. Maybe because it is untraceable since those wallets doesn't serve as bank account where we have a name and other information. Anyone could also send a huge amount in a blink without being questioned by banks or authorities so it is really easy for evil people to use it to pay for illegal activities. I am not sure how but I am hoping that there is a way to prevent this.
