Coinomi is just an online wallet. Ixcoin still needs to get on an exchange.

@Nasaki0t0 Not really great difference, just a matter of cost. The goal is to be on Coinomi and have a lightweight decentralised wallet. Imagine to be able to restore your wallet with a long passphrase, to store your coins in the blockchain without the need to rely on exchanges or sync all the blockchain, send and receive your coins easily.
I remind you that Coinomi is a Shapeshift.io partner, so who knows...maybe we went out from the door and in the future will go back in through the window.

it seems the price to get on an exchange is 3 BTC (bittrex)
Once we collect 3 BTC, we will use them to get on it.
(All we have has been set aside for Coinomi. Ahmed will start it on February, not before)

i must say: I don't like Bittrex, but unless you have another exchange....
At this point, I don't rely on any exchange.

Has Ahmed started on the Coinomi update.  It's already paid for.  That will give us an exchange.

Although, we should also have at least one conventional exchange as well.

not looked at this in a while, but coinomi doesnt have an exchange. it uses shapeshift and ixcoin isnt on it. so no trading in the wallet

Are you saying this is going to be a problem with your coinomi update?

im saying if thats what someone is expecting then it'll be a dissapointment.

As a sidenote, who here has a copy of the IXC electrum wallet. i want a copy to test it with the electrum server ive setup for the android wallet

(It's running if anyone wants to use it permanantly)

I understand Coinomi is basically an online wallet, not a conventional exchange.  The key benefit of Coinomi is an Android wallet, and an iOS wallet (free of charge) once Coinomi adds that feature.  This is critical to get us Point Of Sale (POS) transaction capability for iXcoin.  It could finally get iXcoin more users and vendor support.

I've always maintained that a conventional exchange is also needed.  We should be working on that in parallel.  Many exchanges are free, requiring just some community effort for voting.  Paying for Bittrex is also an option.  An exchange is important for keeping iXcoin visible to bring in users and traders.

Once we get Coinomi and an exchange, iXcoin is back in business, and stronger than before.

coinomi isnt an online wallet. private keys are all stored on the device its being run on. It's like running ixcoin-qt on your device. the user holds the keys/coins

Can we update to this soon?  That way the miners don't update to 8.xx but the latest.  I remember you and groundrod set up the code so that future updates would be much easier.  Thx!

I know, I wish someone would pay me too. 

Right now we aren't able to raise any money.  I tried and it failed.  If Cryptsy unchains me I'll pay you.  So for now I guess we're stuck in neutral again.

Thx for the work you're doing on the coinomi integration, that should help a lot.

Jeez guys this is tough for me...I have to really really fight very hard against the greed I have inside of me and I can tell you it ain't easy. I am still thinking of acquiring a bit more International eXchange Coin (I know, I know no transactions going but you know how greed works - moar, moar, moar ad infinitum) and now there's this donation address I see in front of me. Damn. Well tell you what, it's the idea that counts in many instances right? Ok so I'll do my tiny bit and donate for the idea of it.

Bad news: they need money right now to complete a soon to be project, so they prefer the 0.25 BTC fee instead of IXC.
Good news: their soon to be project is an altcoins exchange. And there is chance to get on it, not clear the conditions right now.

@Ahmed: how is the electrum / coinomi integration going?

So we can't sell that IXC for .25 BTC?  $100?  What the f has cryptoworld come to?
