Of course not.  We're always first to find out.  Lol.

That huge 110 BTC buy wall just went away.

Maybe a test?  Maybe they saw people aren't willing to dump their coins?

But that was real so I expect them to be back for more.  Next time maybe the spark will set off something explosive.

If you want to make IXC look like it has active devs, and a coin that should be taken seriously, you really need to get the wallet updated to patch up the Heartbleed vulnerability.   Then once that is finished, post on the thread of coins that have the Heartbleed patched.  That will gain some credibility.

Isn't this justdown to which version of OpenSSL you have installed on your computer when you compile, or, if it is dynamically linked (as anyone who runs many different coins will tend to do so that all their different coin daemons all share the same libraries) which ones are installed on the machine you end up running on?

I remember friction wanted to add colored coins and/or CounterParty to the next Client update, is that still the plan?  That would be great if we can get that done so people can stop talking nonsense about features, or lack thereof.

Nobody seems to realize that in an open source Eco-system new features have no competitive advantages.  What's yours is mine...for free, so let's now take the best features out there and make them ours.

payment protocol is only used by merchants.  don't know of any IXC merchants, so it is a none issue!

Why is Counterparty worth more than IXC today?

There are three ways for a coin to be perceived to have value.

(1) Community Adoption -  DOGE is a good example.
(2) Technology Differentiation -  Namecoin is an example.  

the 3rd is of course security.  Which IXC partially does have.

Good luck trying to figure out how to do (1) or (2) without making any investments.

I understand Frictionlesscoin's point of view. Probably, for people like me and you Vlad, it's difficult to perceive the value of a new/revised software. That's why a new way to deal with the issue could be nice.

As always, lacking of any sort of Foundation, it's not clear who is supposed to do it.

You are again trying to build the structure starting from the roof, not from the foundations.

I understand Friction's point, but he's wrong in a sense.  Counterparty is worth more than IXC precisely because supposed techies don't have any common sense and they think there's some competitive advantage which Counterparty has in their innovation.

That's cause since my first day here, people, supposed computer literate people, keep regurgitating the same lies about features [along with the same lies about Bitcoin being anonymous and decentralized]. I'm no techie and it took me only 1 month to realize that something which can be easily and legally copied is not an advantage.

This means, Friction, that any price advantage Counterparty has is only temporary and it's nothing more than poor education and lack of understanding by investors, something which cannot last very long.  It's nothing more than a temporary perception glitch, a valuation error.  With time, the misconceptions and errors in valuations go away and those with real competitive advantages rise to the top.

As for investing in this coin, from what I know of the premine, there are still a lot of coins available for bounties.  So maybe you should talk to the person who holds the premine and has specifically set aside a large part of it for bounties.  I worked hard and paid cash for my iXcoins and just because I was wise enough [or fool enough] to have bought more than most doesn't mean I'm gonna pay for every update.

I will do my best, just like last time, to rally support and get people to pitch in.  And depending on how I'm doing financially, I may pitch in something myself, once again, but that shouldn't be expected from any one member, especially one struggling financially.

And especially not when we still have a lot of iXcoins earmarked for bounties.  We shouldn't have to pay a single coin for necessary updates until that bounty money has been exhausted.
