Hi, I want to say thank you to Mr. blissz for his work and the effort.
I have two D3 on the way, I will turn them on in my home. The electricity cost is high! With the default configuration of Bitmain, I think they are not profitable any more !
Could you please advise me, and what profile you advise me to try ?

Regards

go for the lowest voltage setting and see how far you can increase the frequency (start from 400mhz). That will give you best Hash / per watt ratio

25/11 recommended UPDATE

I really  recommend to update to this version as it brings more stability.

Download:
https://mega.nz/#!7hYHSaIL!dOVoabD0z6eKz9bVg_qMzPE1h4p3Hg7D7u1jEc4-y8Y

Changes 25/11:
- fixed auto reboot on low hashrate / xxxx
- fixed issue where temperature readings could be wrong
- fixed fan error on some units
- improved stability
- allows for zero RPM fan (all custom fans should work now)
- increased upper limit frequency for overclocking. (not recommended though Wink)
- dev fee kicks in a bit later now after changing settings

know issues:

- switching pools can sometimes cause the miner to wait for work for 10 seconds.

happy mining!

- The power supply (Bitmain's APW3++) is working as well as all pins
- I am using a power cable 10A - 250v.

Results: If i plug the PSU more than 2 hashboards, the miner will begin to reset every 5 secs, then loop.

Where are you?   The US, UK, Asia??
Power is different all over.

If the US, then is your outlet 220-240v or 120v
If you use it for everyday electronics then it’s 120v

Since your miner is cycling and the breaker isn’t popping then you don’t have enough power gong to the unit.
While the cord may be rated your outlet may be under powering.

Hope that helps.
Sfitz

I am living in USA, if i use a converter like this, does it work?

https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/3GYAAOSwkLhaAsB7/s-l1600.jpg

I have two D3s, if i contact a electrician, what should i tell him? What else do i need for him to install? Does anyone know how much amps, volts, and watts for one d3 and bitman's psu?

I would have an electrician come in and install a 240v circuit with at least 30a breakers.  Then have 2 plugs rated at at least 15a.
Then make sure to have the outlet have a plug to match your cable.   There are many types of 220-240v outlets so double check what the put it.

That converter can be more dangerous and costly than a couple hours of time for a licensed electrician.
Also make sure your house has enough service (amps, room for breakers).

The electricity and heat of these miners is nothing to be playing with at home without some onsite help.
I took IEEE courses in college and physics in high school so I think I have know what I am doing..however .probably not. Wink

Hi @blissz... hi folks...

I'm an "happy" owner of 8 D3s, pity that in my country are no longer useful. My electricity is too expensive. I'll receive them next week... I would cry, but i prefer to destroy Bitmain!

I would know what is the minimum wattage for 19.3 GH/s... if i've understood whit the @blissz mod i can set (without hw manipulation) various parameter like volt, freq, etc... but if i want run my D3 at 19 GH/s, how much i can reduce watts?
If i'll have 19.3 GH/s at 750w (but i know that is impossible).. i'll earn 50$ for each D3 today at my home... ahahahah!

@blissz... i don't ask for a miracle, but if u want a beta tester to f*** Bitmain, i'm here... thanx man for your hard work!

ok anyone else get an email and be given a TONNNNNNN a coupons from bitmain?HuhHuhHuh??

like literally over $4400 worth of coupons??

is this an "I'm sorry" for all the D3's I bought that are personal heaters?

They did that to me a while back, but then an hour later they turned it back to only 2x300$ coupons.
However I did her 2 more 125$ today.   I think that might have been for the PSUs being sent after D3 arrived Sans PSU.

Little good these coupons will do as I don’t plan on supporting bitmain in the future after this D3 fiasco!

You can run them ~16.5 to 17.0 Gh/s at ~750 watt with the custom firmware (at lowest voltage setting)

Thanx anyway man... if u need... i'm here!

The only way to save myself it's to wait a great Update with more algos...i really hope it will happen!
If u need beta tester.. i'm here....... thanx at all.

You will earn like 6-7 usd/day including electricity cost. You have to deduct that from those 7 bucks a day/unit. That's what my 12 D3's are mining atm...unfortunately Sad

@blissz,

every reset, the D3 will perform differently in terms of HW error. at some of the reset (still same setting of Volt and Freq), it get minimum HW error running for hours. some reset can see tons of error within hr!

is it normal?

I've seen it on my unit as well. Also without the firmware mod. It happens if you're running it at the limits.

@blissz,

I did download all the firmware you posted as well as those official from Bitmain.. but now I am confused after seeing the file names.. Not sure if I have mixed the official Bitmain and yours in the same folder...

1. Antminer-D3-20171120_3-blissz.tar
2. Antminer-D3-20171121_3-blissz.tar
3. Antminer-D3-20171123_2-blissz.tar
4. Antminer-D3-20171125_0-blissz.tar
5. Antminer-D3-201709131713-0M.tar
6. Antminer-D3-201711162229-0M.tar
7. Antminer-D3-201711172221-0M.tar
8. Antminer-D3-201711182222-0M.tar

How do I know if file no 5-8 is official Bitmain's or it is also Blissz's? I am not sure if Blissz added  "blissz" in his 1st & 2nd released firmware..

Some early ones from me didn't have the blissz extension, but in filesize they were larger:
All are my firmwares, expect number 5.

I am running the 25/11 update and am having issues with certain pools sites connecting and staying connected, however I don't see the devFeeMiner ever not alive.

When I first started the pool I have setup connected immediately, however with multiple HW errors I reset some values and restarted.  This time the miner was perfect, no (or few/min) HWerr, but the pool was marked "Dead".   A few minutes later the fan tempo changed and it switched to alive.  Then I hear the fans change tempo again and the pool then goes from Dead again.... and stays that way.

Anyone else have this happen?   Anyway to resolve?

Thanks

Which pool / port? I don't want to advertise the pools I use, but I find them quite stable. So at least put those in your config as backup if you can.

edit: checked the users pool on the bitmain stock firmware, but it's dead on the stock firmware as well. Issue is not related to the custom firmware
