Hi Blissz! Thank you for your job.

Do you recommend fan mod?
If I chang fan quieter than original?
And I want to report Miner Status by email.

Thanks.

You're welcome Smiley If you run it at the lowest voltage and the ambient temperatures are quite low I advice to replace the fans as there are quite some fans a lot less noisy compared to the original ones

Currently testing the next version. It cointains a fix for the restart on low hashrate detection + it includes an upgrade from cgminer 4.9 to cgminer 4.10

I hope we still have the option to use or not to use  the auto restart. I am using Awesomeminer for that already.

BTW,, 2 x D3 is now on the latest firmware mod. both at 16.15Ghs @ 830W

hmmz sounds like you didn't flash my firmware. (as you can only mine x11 with mine...)
For rescue mode:
flash this image on a micro sd card (I used win32diskimager) and put that in your d3 controller board
https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=007201604120945219855QObfk20066C

then flash again after it booted and remove the sd card again

Every x11 coin should work. Seems like you had a bad flash for some reason. Please make sure to download the firmware again and try the recovery method as posted.

With this firmware ...does anyone tried to use a different PSU ?? Less than 1600 w?
Could I use a 1200 or 1k ?
im using a 1000watt for mine

At the lowest voltage setting at ~15 / 16GH/s/s you can run it at 750watt - 800watt. So my advice would be to have at least a 900+ watt power supply for this.
Make sure not to connect al boards as you're still on the stock firmware, otherwise you'll blow the PSU. First flash it / set it to the lowest voltage / 400Mhz and then connect all the boards.
Thanks blissz u r the guy ...thanks for being here too.

Hey Blissz

Can you do a change from pool to pool without rebooting?

changing pools/order doesn't reboot, just restarts cgminer

It probably shows hardware errors too on that chain? I think it's clocked to high for the amount of voltage set.

It does show a lot of hardware errors, but I've even had it on 100M and the lowest Volt settings.. tried several options and still it shows 0000... If I am lucky and reboot it works for few seconds to hash and then goes back to 0000 Hash Rates.

If I flash back to the Bitmain firmware it works fine though?

Hello blissz I've read a few posts and see you do a great job, I wanted to ask you there will be a chance to add new algorithms? or change from x11 to scrypt?
can you put a switch to change pools like in the baikal and add some of the others? thanks and sorry for my english.

v1.0 :: 28/11 :: RECOMMENDED UPDATE

Download:
https://mega.nz/#!rgR1RCpS!aoBjx2kZduOS23KFzS_0jUHhw4-SWfs23BYLL2SZJC8

Changes 28/11:
- Fixed the automatic reboot on low hashrate or high ASIC fail rate.
- updated cgminer to v4.10 (for details see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.msg17594456#msg17594456)
- improved pool switching behavior
- improved startup stability of all chains
- cgminer binary optimizations

know issues:

- switching pools can sometimes cause the miner to wait for work for ~5 seconds. (improved from ~10 seconds)
- loosing network connection doesn't stop the mining boards properly (this is default bitmain behavior, but I don't like it, so it will be changed in the future)

happy mining!

That board needs more voltage I guess. Just set the voltage for that board a bit higher. Make sure to flash the firmware I just posted. It might help as well

Some questions Blissz, is your latest firmware supporting extranonce.subscribe? You know the #xnsub at the end.

What causes loosing network connection?

What causes loosing network connection?

I checked the code it does an extranonce_subscribe_stratum(pool), so support is there.
Loosing network for a long time (i.e. disconnect the cable) for more then 2 minutes doesn't shut off the miner currently. This makes sense for the long bitcoin block times maybe, but not for mining most of the x11 coins as their block times are short.
I do want to change this or make it optional, to temporary shut off the mining boards until the network connection gets back.
