I am thinking wait. I am currently getting about 12 a day from one D3, running on Solar Power. I need to bring down the power consumption if I want to add another miner. and I think this is exactly what we all need. Blissz! Thanks again!!! Marty

Just installed the 28/11 update, hashrate seems down slightly compared to 26/11 but it's within margins of error. However I am no longer seeing the dev pools in the miner status, are they hidden now or did you forget to include them?

Hi @all,
as probably some of you have exchanged fans - what kind of model / type would you guys recommend? How many RPM fans are you using to get the D3 quiet? Mine are currently running at 2500-3000rpm with original fans. Any recommendations?
And thanks Blissz, for starting this and still working on an even better custom FW. :-)
I run it with the 120mm 2000rpm Scythe Slip Stream fans, but that only works if you run it at the lowest voltage setting. A relative silent 2500 to 3000rpm would be better. Anybody got suggestions?

28/11 today, YES or no?
Should I do it, or await 29/11?
Marty
hi Marty, if you're on 26/11 I suggest you to wait for 29/11, otherwise update to 28/11 (and optionally disable the reboot on low hashrate detection as it's a bit sensitive)

I just ordered some (they are not cheap!) and I'll give them a try over the weekend...

hi Marty, if you're on 26/11 I suggest you to wait for 29/11, otherwise update to 28/11 (and optionally disable the reboot on low hashrate detection as it's a bit sensitive) Naw, I read a lot more, and I did it, Ran fine on default at 20.5 G/H I am very new to this, My first Machine, sorry. And as I understand, I BOUGHT THE WRONG ONE, until DASH is 1500 at least... But I am in it for the long haul! in Good ol, BT Macedonia. Solar mining 101: I played with it, weirdly a lot of Heat warnings on 544 setting, But oddly, it was on only one string, and it had the coolest temps..... I was considerring leaving it until i saw 45 warnings. But temps were ok, lower than the other (Outside) strings. Being on Solar you are gods gift to me, as you can imagine. 9Lowering my power usage at will, will change my mining life. Thanks again! I humbly ask your opinion: I have settled for these settings, as I have extra power during the day, and cheaper, but still costly, electricity at night: During sunlight 525M and I get 19.7G/H Power I am sure 1350Watt (Thinking of overclocking during those times in the winter at least, what do you think?) What is the coolest 22G/H setting you can tell me? Cloudy: 450 range and I get 17.5G/H and 1080 watts Nighttime: 420 range: and I get 16.7G/H and about 840 watts. Where you from? I owe you two beers now! Marty

Let us know the results if you got them I cannot post a link, but, I saw a guy on youtube, who put his antminer S9 inside of a Beer Cooler cut and inlet for a pipe, and an outlet w/ a pipe. He takes the cool air from his basement and sends the hot out of his airco house basement window out the dryer hose outlet! Now thats cool But I am going to one up it: I am heating my house on the D3+ and its -4C outside. I have not burned wood for four days. Now thats a Plus! I bet I spend 50 on wood a month...hmmm. Dash 700? oh man , Life will be fine. Just gotta get rid of a wife...

You're really on the maximum with that fan as the max chip temp is quite high. I would advice to lower the voltage to setting 5 and see how much hashrate you could get with that. Your max chip temp will stay below 80 deg then I guess

I didn’t run that version. Do you recommend I should use it instead? I do think the next version will solve your issue. My advice: leave 28/11 installed and set your fan to a manual speed for now. I am currently testing the next version.

Running 28/11 on three D3's at the mining farm. So far so good. This is a great project, if there is anything I can do to help PM me. I'm really hoping you can get multialgo support working for the D3's.
Thanks, Stephen

Sorry the info was not complete, set voltage to 5 and set frequency to ~450 (if that's stable you can later on try to increase it)
