PODC (proof-of-distributed-computing) is stabilizing in testnet.
We are thinking about going live towards the end of March.

We need last minute testers to test Now, to try to expose any bugs.  Anyone feel like firing up Rosetta and helping us test in testnet?

http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=108.new#new

Also, if you have an Android phone: please come and help us test the 'bank the unbanked' function. We want to make it possible for people that don't own a PC (for example a lot people in third world countries) to use their phone CPU-power to get BBP. I think it's a killer-function, and we will be able to help the poor, but we need people to test the function and make sure it works absolutely flawless before implementing in in prod Smiley

New Exchange Proposal - Add new Biblepay Exchange (SouthXchange.com FEE REIMBURSEMENT)

fyi ... I just submitted a proposal to reimburse everyone who loaned BBP funds for the successful SouthXchange listing effective February 1, 2018. We received 305,000 BBP in loans, so I am requesting a BBP distribution of 307,500 BBP (which includes the 2,500 BBP Proposal Fee.)

Please review and comment at the Proposal Discussion:
http://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=97.0

Thanks to all MasterNodes voting to approve this Proposal!

I saw it pop up for a split second after about 10 seconds, strange

http://www.biblepay.org/  Images work
https://www.biblepay.org/ Images do not work

On right side of browser address bar when loading the https version of the website, theres a little shield with an x on it,
"Insecure content blocked This page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources. Load unsafe scripts"
When I click the load unsafe scripts link it works and shield goes away and the sliding images work

But why is there only 1.0.9.2 wallet version?

Greetings in Christ everyone.  I should have made this post months ago but life got in the way.  I previously ran the now-defunct Miners of Men Pool.  While on vacation last December a hard fork unexpectedly (at least unexpectedly for me  Grin) occured, along with the release of a new version of the pool software.  I could never fully upgrade the pool to a working state, and eventually realized that changes to this coin were moving at a faster pace than I could keep up with.  While its great to see so many positive changes, I reluctantly had to discontinue the pool.

I have now paid out everyone that had entered their wallet address and had an outstanding balance.  Those with missing wallet addresses I have emailed requesting them to reply with an address.  Since email may not be the most reliable way to contact miners, I will also be posting a list of usernames.  If you mined on my pool and haven't been paid.  Please send me a PM.  Thanks!

Glad to see you around nsummy, I believe we are targeting a quarterly dev cycle now, I think last mandatory was a month and a half ago.

There is also a new pool by Lichtsucher called PurePool

Why does the value for "LogicalMachines" change? My hardware and virtualization capabilities aren't changing so why does this number fluctuate? How can I specify and lock the number of logical machines? Is there a console command?

The reward breakdown needs to properly reflect 40-40-10-5-2.5-2.5.  And the fourth paragraph of the Technical information references the old 10% value for "supply tightening" but gets it right on the 1.5% monthly in the 5th paragraph.

One other nit-pick is the Deflationary I would rather see state "Deflationary Emission Schedule" as classical economics would not see our coin overall as deflationary, but it's emission schedule certainly is.

One other possible suggestion would be a small section for "news" that would be solely things like "mandatory version is xx.yy, PoDC is coming on ddmm" things like that where casual users who don't frequent BCT would be able to get the important announcements.

Other than those few things, it is really shining!  It looks great!

Tom - we need to work on the roadmap- bad - the roadmap is way off.
Ill work on a better roadmap this coming week, using something we can track from another portal and embed in the web page.

In the mean time, can you please make all March (and future) roadmap deadlines December 2018 until I finish this new roadmap?
Lets make the Debit card/401k feature December 2019. (Since debit cards are suspended currently with VISA).

On the Deflationary recommendation, lets keep that as-is.  (Since we are deflationary).

First of all: thank you for you work Thomas! The site has great potential.

I don't see the dedicated forum yet, but I agree with all the suggestions that Togo, West and you have made. On top of that, I think it would be good for investors to be able to find a direct link to the whitepaper.

I also think information could be provided in a less complicated way, right now, looking at the site from the eyes of a newcomer, I find it difficult to get a clear overview of what Biblepay really is about. When I'm visiting a site - especially when it's related to crypto - I'd like to be able to tell within 10 seconds what it's about.

For instance, the 'about biblepay' section, I think it would be better to use a few headers that unveil our core values: for example: spreading the gospel, giving to the poor and needy, decentralized governance via masternodes, etc. I'd like to be able to see within 2 seconds what I can expect if I decide to read the rest of the text (reading top-down).

To illustrate my point, below are separate pieces of information can be found spread across the 'about biblepay' section, and could better be condensed in one paragraph:

1. "At our core, we have chosen to allow 10% of the blockchain to pass through directly towards sponsoring orphans in 3rd world countries."
2. "For the first 6 months, 10% of each block was allocated to the foundation, for sponsoring orphans at 100%."
3. "10% of the emission of the blockchain went directly to sponsoring Orphans [...]."
4. "BiblePay automatically allocates 10% of each block subsidy to our DAO governance committee, with 100% of that being spent on charity."

The 10% figure comes up four times, which becomes repetitive without need.

There are some more point that I would like to highlight (this was just top-of-my-head), but I'll wait for the dedicated forum/topic Smiley

I have created a Wiki page for our Roadmap.

I realize it is not the most beautiful possible Roadmap, with an interactive Gant chart or flashy Flash plugins that the coins that are trying to "sell" something they may never deliver have, but it is a reliable and accurate Roadmap that I can maintain with my Development Team going forward.

Doing it this way allows me to Edit the milestones as we approach them and allows us to be nimble enough to expand the scope of the Roadmap as we grow.

Please let me know if anyone feels I left out any roadmap items or if you have a great idea we should integrate into the roadmap.

http://wiki.biblepay.org/Roadmap

Tom, could you please check to see if you can embed this into the website (dynamically) so we dont have to make website changes when it changes.

Thanks!
