guys, just use multiwallet, you can screw this system, and mine maximum from your PC.
for example, xeon 2695 v3, which has 14 cores, can have e.g. 14 * 4 wallets, each bbp daemon willl use 50%, just generate users under ubuntu, and run biblepayd on different ports,
this way you can mine much more.
BUT, when botnet starts mining, even this will be not that effective...

Why don't we make minersleep=0 instead?

It looks like explorer.biblepay.org is still syncing.  No unfortunately I believe Slovakia shut his down.

TheSnat was building a backup explorer, Im not sure if its done and ready for beta yet, Snat?

We believe we removed the cause of the crash in the latest version.   (After upgrading start with cleared .dat files).

The explorer should technically be able to handle forks;  Ill email you.

Thanks for the details.

I hope that after this mandatory update to keep a season, due to the recent updates are too frequent, and some sanctuaries are not updated in time to cause constant forks, which also causes the exchanges to be unable to trade these negative news.

Hope that release a new high-stability version after several months of continuous testing of the various task in the testnet,  to avoid this happening again...

Thanks to the hard work of the dev team!

What chart do you like the most that we could add to pool.biblepay?
What thing about pool.biblepay's UI do you dislike?
Just give us one wish-list-item from each point would be best.

Pool.biblepay UI is fine Rob. I now realized that there is an easy way to identify servers that stop mining or are out of the chain.
BTW, the wallet is pretty stable now staying in the right chain Smiley   Thanks!

I reindexed the main explorer yesterday: http://explorer.biblepay.org/
I noticed the page had been sitting the same yesterday though,
not sure what is wrong, I checked today and everything is still running, it looks like its syncing today

Worst case, I have a copy of the mongodb database folder from block 83,000
and I can wipe everything and restart from there
Note: /etc/mongod.conf has dbPath set to /var/lib/mongodb
Note 2: Starting explorer from 0 last time took over 2 weeks lol

===

If anyone is interested in running an explorer, heres the guide I wrote to run the flavor/version of explorer I have:

Iquidus Block Explorer Guide
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/7elm7r/iquidus_block_explorer_guide/

===

I believe Sun has a proposal to run another explorer?
https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=382.0

We definitely could use some backup explorers,
sounds like Thesnat is setting one up? Awesome

Thanks.  On the upgrades, yes absolutely.  Its not only absolutely, but I think you will be pleased when you see the next plan completely demarcates all future prod updates, and adheres to the Dash release schedule instead.

To see the plan, check back in about 5 more days and look for the announcement for the new Testnet thread.  Im going to outline the entire plan in that wiki and it should be a very positive change for biblepay.

Thank you for all of your hard work Rob!
and thank you MIP and Sun
and everyone else who helped test, debug, give feedback, provide support, etc!

Creating something of value - thinking ahead, seeing the difficulties, responding to problems or scale,
getting a differentiator that both adds value and stands out in a meaningful way....THAT's the barrier.

I'm not sure that people understand how much innovation has gone into BBP. PODC, the distributed hedge fund, POG, POBH,
there are so many interesting techniques and new ways of handing the now-almost-classical proof of work vs proof of stake problem,
and that innovation goes beyond technical into thinking about real-world problems like electricity use, helping others, and spreading the Gospel.

The other thing people don't understand is that when innovation rises, so does chaos. New ideas take lots of tries, lots of small adjustments.
Some ideas are home runs, some are total strikeouts. Some are even great, but presented at the wrong time or wrong market conditions.
If you want to play in an innovative space, you have to accept it.
If you want something safe and stable, stay away from someone (or some system) attempting to push the envelope and do new things.

I installed (completely from scratch) the biblepayd PPA package on some of my small servers that formely did WCG and I gotta say I'm very impressed by the performance of the 1.2.0.1 network right now. A complete sync without any addnodes etc. (empty biblepay.conf) never took more than 20-30 minutes! Nice work so far!
Also the main pool performed quite nicely over the last 24 hours. Just right now it seems to have a bit of bad luck with no blocks in more than an hour.

Regarding the multi-wallet thing daemonko keeps posting: I tested it and I'm not sure it has a huge effect right now. It seems to be more or less the same. However the POBh algo still seems to give some bonus to small CPUs, so that my ARMs still perform quite well considering their comparably low absolute hash power.

btw: for anyone needing chain confirmation: this is where all my machines are on right now (this chain has 98% 1201 clients):
Code:
 biblepay-cli getblockhash 107422
f3b23042cd4cac1a2224499c8a294445e37e292ec2d6414b72815cceaa5c907b

P.S.: In the windows GUI wallet the bezaleel theme still has the POG in the menu bar. Would be useful to remove this in the newer releases, since it seems to crash the wallet. ;-)
(Don't know about the other themes, since I never use them).
