However, some of my posts in this thread have been as Lucifer's Laywer. (I hope y'all are all familiar with him.)

Full disclosure, I have mined some and I have made speculative purchases in both the PrimeCoin and PissCoin (Oops, is that DickCoin? - I don't much like the name; can you tell?     ) spaces. NOTE: I have filled my targeted level of exposure in both those markets for a while. We'll (I'll) see how my positions play out over the next year or two.

Now, to respectfully respond to your questions.

1) I see a transition to GPU, or better yet FPGA, mining as a 'good thing'. Because it is *slightly* harder on GPUs, IMO, to do that with a bot-net (and totally not viable once FPGAs become predominate) and more significantly because it completely shuts down the "spin'em up as you want'em" VM game.

2) I can offer no advice. If I could read / interpret those charts with a high degree of success I would be a rich man day trading with real money.

Well for starters, GPU game change means all the VPM machines would be stopped and useless.

Well, that was a pretty quick crash.

At or below 0.002 on all three exchanges now.

As I've stated, I've finished my mining / trading in this market for a while.

However, for those still actively in the short-term (one to three month) game, looks to me that bouncing off a floor of 0.001 is not at all unreasonable / unexpectable.

I put in that order and left and was stunned to find it filled. The rest was ~.0066, followed by a few lucky blocks for less. Haven't had anything but orphans since. I think the mining gig is about up, or more aptly has been.

The increased diff won't translate to higher prices, long term it never has. Only speculation that the coin will have some future "mass" adoption has increased price. DGC is the most successful post-FTC "crap coin" and it's taken a lot of work on the part of the devs to get it there. Remains to be seen what kind of support XPM has. I'm guessing not as much.

I had serious doubts at the time of the sale, wondering if I was being superdumb. But, like every new coin hitting an exchange, after a few hours it starts to drop. CPU only, innovations, whatever, they don't matter. Most people (miners in this case) are here to make a quick buck, whether you like it or not

Are the amazon machines easy to setup like digital ocean?  I had a hard time trying to get the free one setup, it kept telling me to wait for the account to be authorized.  Secondly do you have to go over to the security page and create keys for each vpm?

Generation of block's is ~5 sec. Why? They must be generated every ~60 sec.
