Quite a few people have posted now saying that they seem to find blocks in quick succession. I've noticed the same thing, but even to the point where different VPS's (same provider) have all found blocks within a minute of each other but nothing for hours either side. In the last 4 hours I found 9 blocks all at the same time across 6 VPS's (around 30 mins ago), and then nothing for the 3 hours before that. I have seen the same kind of patterns over the last few days too (though no normally 9 at the same time!). Has anyone got any theories as to why this might be?
I have seen exactly this once one block was found, on one instance....then a whole load more were found quickly by that isnatnce another that found none never found any I think findinf say 12 blocks with one instance an zero with an identical instance is very unlikely..... somethings going on... I have a few theories and one is really out there.... I get this too. All arrive at once. Go on then, tell us... Define "at once"? I have a node that found 3 blocks with 1 hour in between blocks yesterday, then nothing. So 3 blocks in 2 hours. Or are you blocks like seconds/minutes apart? |

I was having great luck the first several days... kept my machines updated with the latest SW as it came out and bagged 90 or so blocks. But that was back in the days of 7.x difficulties and the early 8's.... blocks became harder and harder to find, and after 48 hours of nada, i shut down my miners.

I wonder if block spacing continues to increase, if someone will find it worthwhile to create a pool... I'll come back to the fold if it becomes less luck based even if the payout is much smaller but more certain....

Mikaelh's latest (hp4). It's possible that there is a bug somewhere in the time being displayed as I've noticed that they are not in order in the wallet. |

I checked the actual transaction time in the blockchain viewer and the time doesn't correlate to what I see in the wallet. That also explains why they appear out of order in the wallet. Sunny any thoughts on this? |

There must be a bug in the QT client. You have to keep the timely order (according to "timereceived" in listtransactions) to get the correct coin generation timestamp shown in QT client, i.e. first import the key with the oldest coins, then the second oldest etc. If you import a key with newer coins first and then one with older coins, the row with address of the older coins will show the timestamp of the newer coins, as it did in your screenshot. |

I noticed same behaviour importing multiple keys in a row into the QT wallet. There must be a bug in the QT client.
You have to keep the timely order (according to "timereceived" in listtransactions) to get the correct coin generation timestamp shown in QT client, i.e. first import the key with the oldest coins, then the second oldest etc.
If you import a key with newer coins first and then one with older coins, the row with address of the older coins will show the timestamp of the newer coins, as it did in your screenshot.

OK, but I have so bad luck or it's most suck coin ever?!
I mine over 70 hours and I found 10 blocks (all immature...). Today all was changed to orphan and was delete from my wallet... It's really not nice and completly demotivated...

Maybe we are learning something new about primes that maybe we are not supposed to know. Quantum research and primecoin is not for humans; dont play with things u dont understand. Also: With 8.9 diff I should see a block around 2021 with 8k PPM... Then again, as Diff skyrockets, so does price it seems so I am ok with that. |

Randomness is random, looking for patterns is pointless. |

Randomness is random, looking for patterns is pointless. Humans also focus on 'special' events. Imagine if we got posts like 'omg my blocks are coming in spaced apart' whenever that happened, those posts would outnumber the 'blocks coming in together at once' posts many times over. It's just that blocks coming in spaced apart is the expected event on average and not noteworthy. There's a scientific name for this in fields of study. |
