3 blocks in a row! Seivesize 4M with 4500PPS. Maybe that DOES help in mainnet...?

No bloody idea dude. I've been showering in juiced four-leaf clovers if that helps. xD

I'm just running regular old HP4!

Can't get the damn block chain to download. Keeps saying no source available even though I added nodes.

i've been mining for 24 hrs at 1000 pps and havent found a single block. Is mining not viable already?

edit: looks like people are mining this coin like crazy which sucks because now a few people get to hoard all the coins for themselves and only few get lucky enough to get a handful of coins to play around with. this is the first altcoin which got me a little excited when I read about it but my excitement is quickly turning into disappointment.

It's possible that all the nodes you added are either full or unavailable. Here's a fresh list of peers from my primecoind:

Code:
        "addr" : "144.76.29.243:9911",
        "addr" : "192.241.214.228:9911",
        "addr" : "27.120.120.134:9911",
        "addr" : "78.31.104.38:9911",
        "addr" : "198.199.73.210:9911",
        "addr" : "198.211.96.17:9911",
        "addr" : "54.254.130.129:9911",
        "addr" : "54.253.85.165:9911",

Hopefully at least one of those works.

Was that using 64 bit high performance mod?

What is the 64 bit high performance mod. And how do you get 900 PPS with a celeron when I only get 1250 pps with an i5?

Should I be modifying the config files with my 127.0.0.1 and all that to point the miner at my wallet or does that happen automatically?

Edit: found 64bit high performance. I set the qt to mine and I get 0 pps. WTF?

Edit: Nevermind, fixed.

What is 64bit high performance? Is that of intel or sunny king or mikhael's rebuild?

Got on the bandwagon late here. My QX9650 quad core can muster about 3500 pps using HP5.  Gonna play with some sieve values.

What I love about this compared to YAC coin, even if I repeat the experience of mining several days without discovering a block, I'll at least know my hashes weren't wasted.

Before mining crypto I used to put my available computing muscle into the BOINC network.  Glad to see that there's potential to merge scientific endeavor with the economic gain of digital currency.

You'll know me as dgiors in some other forums.

You should see in the code - "Bitcoin" is everywhere.   Not a high priority though.

I don't really understand. with the xpm difficulty and reward like it is, it doesn't seem like it will be worth mining soon.
If all you care about is profit, then yeah.

Well, that is why the vast majority of people are mining.
I keep forgetting how rare altruistic ideals are.

You and me too bro. Honestly every philosophical/ethical standpoint has flaws, but come on people. Think about the big picture...sometimes.

Has anyone built the miner in MSVC & willing to share the solution/project files?
