Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Any test with v.9.0 using 1070 on equihash?  Did a test few months ago with bminer, dstm and ewbf and I picked dstm at that time.  Wonder how much has changed since then?

no, problem.

anyway, has anyone compared bminer and DSTM, and EWBF lately  ...on poll side of course...  really annoying is that bminer showing 5-10% bigger hashrate  on console that is on pool ( tested and discussion made a lot but that was older versions not v8).
i' better prefer to show real thing.. so i can easily compare what is faster for my rig.   i mean i can understand that maybe at first it inflate hashrate to make people using it, but now when we all know what is it.. it will be better to fix console to real hashrate...

I wouldn’t say is not fixed. The problem is that you have to take off the 2% dev fee plus the 1% pool fee from the hashrate in the console to get the real one and still the hashrate in the pool is estimated based on your shares so not really accurate either.

For me the reason of not using it is because with DSTM I get less rejected shares and a more constant rate on the pool like pretty much a straight line whilst with Bminer is like a roller coaster jumping all over the place.

As I said before there are more profitable coins out there so not mining ZEC anymore unless the price goes up again

What coins do you mine now? maybe you can share some experience with the community here and give Bminer team some idea about what coins should we support in Bminer.
also, it's a good point about the constant rate. I mean the rate may vary on different rigs. I will take a look at this problem as well.
then about the rejected shares, how many hours did you do the test?

Well, I have been mining RVN coin which is X16R algo. It is a profitable coin. Right now as I post with my 6 GTX 1070 Ti based on whattmine and crypt0-zone websites you can make 392 coins per day work 5.38 euros or 6.53 dollars net after paying electricity (obviously can changed based on pool hashrate, difficulty, rejected shares and price change).

Today I have moved to BTCZ which is making 6.30 euros or 7.65 dollars per day. I have to say that EWBF now is ahead of the game as he has released his new miner which can mine 144,5 and 192,7 new Equihash algos so you need to speed up a bit to catch up. I am sure you can do better than him. DSTM has not released anything new so only miner for 144,5 and 192,7 is EWBF.

For your info with EWBF and 6 GTX 1070 Ti 70% TDP, +200 clock and +700 mem I get between 227-237 sols/s so you have some references if you want to work on it. It comes with the usual 2% dev fee and no fee option.

Not advertising it but if you want to mine BTCZ is the only miner right now as far I know.

Neoscrypt coins are more profitable too the only problem I have found with those algos is that web information is not accurate and you always end up mining far less than expected. For neoscrypt ccminer klaus (open source) does around 7150 Kh/S and Hsrminer forked by justaminer does around 7555 with same settings but paying 1.66% dev fee.

Hope it helps and gives you some ideas

Looking forward to your new miner

This is a great writeup.  The community needs more posts like this.  Free sharing of information, no arguing, and most importantly concise info.  Not a bunch of vague statements Smiley  To add to your last statement I believe that most neoscrypt coins are victims of the zpool effect where a bunch of hashrate is thrown at them while the difficulty is low, once it shoots up they move on to the next coin and rinse and repeat.  Anyone mining these coins longterm will unfortunately be mining 90% of the time with high difficulty.

Personally I have been mining more and more on nicehash.  On the surface the payouts are lower but I think I lose more profitability chasing the most profitable coin.  Good to see this other perspective though, might give btcz a chance.  I was mining safecoin (144,5) but I think there is some instability with the miner.  It wasn't crashing but there were many times I would get booted off my RDP session and wouldn't be able to get back on.  I'd get home from work and see that it was still running but the pool was showing big drops in hashrates for long periods.  Could be a coincidence though.

Does BTM mining work with 1050Ti?  I got an error message (using latest nVidia 397 drivers) and when I unplugged the 1050Ti then my 1060 started working.  Just wondering ...

The miner doesn't work on Ubuntu 14 (Ethos)

./bminer: relocation error: ./bminer: symbol _ZTTNSt7__cxx1118basic_stringstreamIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEE, version GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference

What to do?

I think it's pool error - not bminer, maybe it's even protection from VGA mining on f2pool and antpool ;(

All the same it was good at first, bro ... Smiley

And many thanks to the developers of this miner for several hours of good profit!

any GPU oriented pool for Bytom?
or solo mining howto?

http://www.beepool.org

works ok with the new miner

How long does it take for stats to reflect on beepool? After a few shares or after a few validated rewards?

Trying to find a good pool to test on.

Edit: It's a few shares. Cheers.

Always doubt.
