Price still dropping, I have invested 150 ltc in sxc... should I sell or hold?
the rule of thumb on ANY investment is to buy when everyone is selling and selling when everyone is buying. Unfortunately the opposite can be seen every day in stock markets around the world and crypto markets are no different. People behave in greedy herds. People are greedy and follow the herd, where the herd goes they go, they don't want their neighbor to make a buck and throw it on their face, they want to reply back they also made a buck. Professionals take advantage of this herd human psychology and literally steal money from good people. Selling now would mean you are part of the herd. If anything now is the time to buy more. It doesn't mean it can't go down further, you can buy more if you want. It means that on the next run, and it will happen in a month or so, you have a stack to sell to the herd. Trade smart and stop following the herd. The wolves have a full stomach now, but they will come back. Get ready to join them on the slaughter of the herd

oh that's nice - on lavapit's pool only lavajumper himself takes all the blocks..!
LOL...yep. I guess this does deserve and explanation: When there is a descrepancy in the finder of the blocks it sticks my name in there. So you'll see my name even when my miners are offline. Its not a bug, its an annoyance that would take more work than its been worth to correct. Maybe that time is here. Also, the block list doesn't show orphans. If you see a block on the graph that isn't showing up on the 'found list', that's an orphaned block that was not accepted onto the chain. You can confirm this by checking the block on the block explorer, and see the address that got the reward. I decided not to junk up the found list with orphans. And yes, the Lavapit is still experiencing issues. I've got hardware on order, and have found a couple of issues with the stratum performance. So the rejects are high for now. I've been using the official p2p pool at http://sexcoin.lavajumper.com:9699I was getting payouts until this morning around 0130, then it stopped. I was and am still getting accepted shares though. Is there an issue with that pool? There is a serious issue with my P2Pool, its called hammered beyond anything it was designed for. My instance of the p2pool was designed to handle traffic when we were struggling to get 5Mh/s on the WHOLE NETWORK. That pool is not at the Datacenter. It may be time to a)remove the 'official' tag, and b) pull the pool down completely. I would strongly suggest http://outhashed.com for your P2Pool needs.

Have you seen bitcoin? Would you sell that when it was $10?
People need to realize that this isn't always about 1-2 days and take profits. BTC was down to $540. Those that sold... well how are they feeling now?
This is the norm. Expect 50% drops OFTEN on MOST or ALL coins in Crypto. 30-70% is the general routine from week to week.
Maybe months from now you can ask or be worried. That time is not now.
it's the same thing that happened in April to bitcoin. mtgox that time, now cryptsy, is the site that had technical troubles. the coin went from 260 $ to 60 $ . all said "bitcoin is dead" now , some months later, btc is 850 $ around ........

Are the shares that got accepted during the last few hours that I didn't see payout for lost completely?

I've upgraded that server twice over the past couple days. It's currently handling 100MH/s, and it's running well. I'm still working on optimizing as much as possible, I want to get the DOA's down to at most 10%. It's current hovering between 15% to 20%, which is a tad better than the 50% + we were getting when the first big load came!

I'm pretty sure the /users is the same data as the payouts page. You won't show up there until you've been on the pool long enough to start getting paid.

Any proof? But I am sceptic too. I calculated about 40% more SXC than I really got after 24 hours. Now LavaJumper is down. I switched with 4 MH/s to cpool.pro - working fine.

I think it's important to remember that when you have a product tailored for a specific market the price doesn't matter until it's introduced into that market. Until the adult industry gets involved with SXC the price will most likely fluctuate quite a bit because there is no floor yet. As soon as a it starts to be used as a payment method the price will not only rise but stabilize. Personally I welcome drops like this because it allows new investors in. As some of you might have seen I set up a little contest where the goal is to promote the use of SXC. I have gotten a fantastic response and judging by the amount of email and PM:s I've received BIG things are on the horizon.

Yeah there will be swings. Especially with the coins drastic price increase there are a few massive holders dumping coins and driving price Down. hopefully when there is a bit better distribution the price will stabilize a bbitand even go up. It seems like everyone is tripping over each otherto sell cheaper lol.

Yeah, in the short term the big dumps hurt the price. But in the long term, those big dumps are actually good for the coin. Because it helps to 'spread the wealth'. The more people that have it, the more will use it, and the more than use it, the more it will become valuable.

After three hours of exact calculation I can say that I am mining ~50% less on LavaJumper than on cPool. That's really bad, LavaJumper. Can you verify my calculation? If you want to make some gifts, see the SXC-address in my signature. I lost 12 hours of mining. However, I will stay on cPool for now with 3,5 MH/s and will switch the last worker (~700 KH/s) from LavaJumper to cPool asap. 50% "fee" is not acceptable, dear LavaJumper.

I wouldn't doubt that your calculations are correct. I'm shutting Mining down. I won't bring it back up until its fixed. The interface will stay up so you can all get your coins out.

Is it normal that a 600 SXC transaction cost 8 SXC? Is there a table for transaction fees? I couldn't find the info where transacton fees are defined.
